Arc Search — Find it, Faster

It has become the worst out of them, from 5 star app to 1 star when it refused to summarize due censorship on multiple subjects mentioned here, which perplexity ai/brave covered and there is multiple cases of such. Censorship ruins usage it is intended, overall less useful as true crime cases should be summarized properly. But not only that, it also had issues with other topics such as various new age movements, it forces disclaimers like no others in various things overly. It’s become horrible to use and, and treats you like child, for example when searching about New age movement for a keyword it now refused to summarize saying that it promotes harm, which is incorrect (anything should be summarized), but the censorship has caused it to be dumber/unsabke than it was at launch. On top of that, with when asked to tell jokes only its query intent understanding is now worse than any others, has gone from understanding it to worse than perplexity, ie attempting to tell “history” of such jokes, instead of the query that was ask, ie jokes.The censorship also seems to affect that it potentially avoids summarizing some more gruesome cases less accurately, as it has bias to avoid it. It isn’t AT ALL what it used to be! It’s ruined. And, millionth update, now “new” censored topics include basic cyber security concepts as well, and unfortunately, it seems like the passing months the list keeps getting bigger. As of 27.11.2024 a basic prank common for women to do that is amongst most searched from google content was declined, and the ai lectures you and tries to lie and say its illegal, meanwhile the same query in Brave browser does none of the things, understands the nature of the prank and tells the methods as they are reported to carrying out the prank. Arc truly has declined in quality and claims they care, yet none of that is evident, as it started out usable but now is beyond worse other existing apps/browsers with AI features.

I really liked how they integrated AI in the browser. It works well and what’s more - all the functions are free! Thank you the team of Arc browser!

I am NEVER going back to safari, i instantly changed my default browser to arc. I love the animations and how everything is put together. Great browser yall

...but lacks autofill and extensions which is a real bummer. Not sure if this is an iOS restriction but anyway, for now, I'll have stick with Safari on iPhone and Arc on Mac

I really like this app and how The Browser Company thinks differently. My favourite feature is that the search is open when the app is opened, these little things make all the difference. Call to internet and pag summaries, it's just genius!
