Company stopped many services and the main I feel is notifications as now I would not know if something is wrong in my home until I keep checking app.

My 5 plus year old Awair glow was working perfectly until the latest app update removed support for it! How ridiculous is that? Avoid this company and build your own DIY indoor air quality station with arduino/raspberry pi compatible sensors.

I have owned an Awair Glow for over five years now and and have been impressed by the build quality, performance, and iOS app experience. I enjoyed the Glow enough to gift one to a friend. However as of a month ago the company notified me that they would be cutting off my access to the app because they could not/would not support the device anymore. Today, they did as they said and removed all access to the app. The only option now is to buy a completely new Awair device. My Glow device is working just fine and probably will for many years to come. The problem is that I can no longer see the data it is collecting because the company has removed my access to the app at their own discretion. I understand that older hardware may lose updated software support over time. The problem is that the company has intervened and actively cut off access to a fully functioning device. That is extremely unprofessional and antagonistic behaviour. It is not how customers should be treated. I advise others to avoid this company unless they want to be treated with similar disrespect as I was.

Google login doesn’t work, locking out all the sensors. It’s 0 star in usefulness…

Currently the only way to update the Wi-Fi settings for awair is to reset awair first. This is frustrating because when you reset the awair it has to go thru the calibration again. Please have an option to update the Wi-Fi settings of awair without having to reset it.

Great support. My 2nd gen Awair product has been reliable and delivered in door temp, humidity, voc, pm, and co2 levels for several years. No hassles.

Invasive data collection. I like the idea of the product itself; but why do you need to know my email, gender and birthday to provide me with my air quality? I already paid for the product, don’t sell my data.

Awair is a great box and is great for letting you know how the air inside your house is doing and what you need to do to make it better for you and your family. Unfortunately, the Alexa skill is not available in Canada yet so Canadian users are not able to get the full Awair experience. Four stars if the actual experience matched what was on the box. please release the Alexa app soon!

We've had Awair for almost a year. I had no problem getting the app talking to the hardware and I love the range of parameters the hardware tracks. However, the Awair app is a real disappointment. Sure they have been slow to address bugginess like screwed up times after Daylight Savings Time. And the app has all these cheesy simpleminded 'suggestions' for what you can do to improve air quality. But what really annoys me is that unlike other sensor apps (e.g., the Fitbit app), the Awair app does not allow you to see patterns or historical trends in your air quality data. Why? Because it deletes your data from the app every night at midnight, and you cannot export data. Furthermore you cannot set alarms to indicate when a parameter exceeds a certain level (e.g., PM2.5), and there dashboard to compare your air quality numbers to the live or historical averages of other categories of people (eg, friends, nearby, city, region, time, activity, age, home type, or to consult with other Awair users on questions or trends. Would also be great to compare Awair data in the app with local outdoors AQI data on some of the amazing AQI data aggregator sites. Finally, I have seen nothing from Awair that they have any plans to roll these features out in the future, or care what their users might want. Without the ability to see and compare AQI data patterns trends over time, or with others, the app might as well have Alzheimer's. Everything is in the moment.

The application doesn’t connect after upgrading an iOS device and restoring it from a backup. It must be reinstalled to make it work. Reported the issue to their support a year ago, but they didn’t care to fix the problem.
