Suddenly stopped working and won’t even open for a minute.
I bought the Bible Gateway Plus to get rid of the incredibly intrusive ads, but the app still doesn’t work. So disappointed.
This happens, not that often, once or twice a yr., but I lose my data and stuff
The response posted to @jdstoker’s “feedback” that everyone using this app has been experiencing was a bit triggering for me as someone trying to use the app to read The Word of God, specifically the 2nd sentence, “It's critical to us that any advertising on Bible Gateway reflects our Christian values and does not conflict with our mission.” What exactly is Bible Gateway’s mission?! I was under the impression that the purpose of the Bible Gateway app was so that people could have access to God’s Word on-the-go. Is that not your mission? If this is, in fact, Bible Gateway’s mission, then I don’t understand you think your response addresses any of @jdstoker’s concerns — with the main being that the after reading a couple of verses, there are HUGE ADS that may be “your Christian values”, but that isn’t responding to the concern, which is that the ads hinder people from being able to actually read God’s Word without being distracted. The enemy is the most cunning creature — THE master manipulator — and will even use the Bible (app) — God’s words — to try to twist The Truth. If he did it to Jesus (God The Son) when he was fasting for 40 days in the desert, do you really think he wouldn’t do the same to us? The ads that hinder and distract us from being able to read The Word of God are literally the epitome of using “God’s Word” in the 21st century to try to distract people truly to read God’s Word from doing just that — reading God’s Word. You stated that there’s a “monthly subscription service called Bible Gateway Plus available that removes ads from the app and website experiences” but, again — I feel like I need to ask this question yet again: What exactly is Bible Gateway’s “mission”?! What is the point and purpose for having created an app that contains access to God’s Word? Is it so that everyone can have access to God’s Word on the go? If so, then I don’t understand why the “old version” of BG didn’t have ads, yet Bible Gateway’s response regarding people being able to access God’s Word on-the-go (without ads popping up all the time) is to PAY MONEY — not just one time a year — but EVERY • SINGLE • MONTH is the response Bible Gateway thinks is appropriate for fulfilling your “mission” is super triggering because the only time Jesus was enraged and went “crazy” was because people were trying to make a profit in His Father’s House. So I’m going to ask this same question for the third time: What exactly is Bible Gateway’s mission NOW vs. what WAS Bible Gate
See title. Don’t be skeezy and creepy bible gateway. The App Store shows what they track and bible gateway is clearly no friend to anyone
I’ve had this app for several years used to love it but now it’s becoming annoying when I open the app I have to delete the history just to get the app to work but the thing is I’m deleting the literal same stuff over & over and I’m ocd for clearing apps I use and now the notes area won’t let me edit and save notes I make what happened to this app
Used this app for years. Now the ads that are HARD TO CLEAR! make it annoying to use. Explore other apps
What a disappointment. Every time I open the ap to read the bible I am hit with an ad. Can barely read a verse without a pop up.
The ads interfere with access to the bible. You open up to follow along with your pastor’s sermon than you get an ad that pops up and you’re stuck watching it until you can x out.
