Greta experience with this learning app, easy to use
I tried the Japanese lessons but I could only do a few lessons (2) without paying for the Premium or smt. But over all I think the learning system is great.
I love this app! It’s so helpful to learn and review Japanese grammar. The lessons are the perfect length and progress in a very logical way. I love how it shows you the various ways you can accomplish a language task, such as making comparisons, for example. Someone put a lot of thought into making Bunpo! Really well made!
Just wanted to let you all know that the rate for the lifetime access went up. It used to be $34.99 flat out. Now it’s $70+ and they are saying they are having a deal for $39.99. These developers are money hungry.
In the JLPT N5 and beyond, tapping the Eye open in the top right corner doesn’t reveal the English above the hiragana. This is a catastrophic feature for someone like myself who is currently in Japan and is only interested in speaking Japanese, not reading or writing it.
I could only try two lessons from one chapter before I got locked out of all the rest. I don’t even know if it’s worth $50 so I think I’ll just delete it.
Pros - Good grammar explanations, especially for Japanese - Buying Bunpo Premium gives you access to all their language courses - Comes with an AI tutor - Plenty of examples and practice questions for each lesson Cons - Examples and practice questions use pretty advanced vocabulary on the N4/N5 levels and utilize grammar that hasn’t been taught yet - Writes some kanji as kanji and others as hiragana with no consistent standard - Uses AI voice instead of human beings - For some of the practice questions, it’ll ask you to arrange five or six words in order without telling you what the intended sentence is - If you get a practice question wrong, the AI voice doesn’t play, making it difficult to learn the pronunciation of certain words Overall: 5/10. Still pretty raw in some areas despite its success on the App Store. Bunpro (different website) has better grammar explanations but fewer practice questions, while Duolingo has way more practice questions but way less grammar explanations. This would probably be a good app for experienced (N2/N1) Japanese learners
I love this app, first and only one out of many have tried that I feel like I’m actually learning and getting the hang of when using it. I feel more confident about speaking and learning Korean from this app. I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to learn a language.
It was one of the best apps but for some reason I can’t learn anymore without Bunpo plus or premium. I can’t even use the app because everything cost money, so please fix this error because I can’t even learn anymore. :)
It’s so easy to learn languages and explains it in a way so you can understand what your being taught I myself can’t use it well only because I have a limited vocabulary but even so the app gives an English translation of the sentence.W app
