App keeps crashing only basic diagnostics available
I have had my Carly scanner a few days and so far I have only been able to run basic diagnostics and I have just started a battery check, hopefully that works. Nothing much else works, live data crashes and other OBD functions fail to connect. I have been able to clear 7/8 faults, the other will not clear. Clicking on the details of the remaining fault takes me to google with a list of Mercedes solutions which are not much use on a Range Rover. It looks like this will be an expensive glovebox ornament so far.
TERRIBLE APP
Read the other reviews. Ignore the fake 5 star ones. This app is terrible. £100 a year subscription to do basic coding, with no cancellation policy and no easy way to cancel renewal. They ignored my request to cancel and charged me another year, and then said “we don’t do refund sorry”. Not to mention, plugging this into a bmw can be catastrophic. A simple diagnostic, code cleared, and next thing there’s errors that weren’t there before, headlight stopped working etc. be careful.

Not sure what’s going on with this scanner I paid for Mercedes and smart mechanic the scanner done first scan found 23 systems gave details and was good then done a update now only gives generic codes and limited smart mechanic advise uninstalled and tried again no different

The Check Engine Light Whisperer (But It Only Whispers ‘Nope!’)
Wow, where do I even start? Carly has redefined disappointment. Not only does it fail to clear the check engine light on my VW Golf (classic timeout, of course), but cancelling the diagnosis gives me the added thrill of a full app crash. Who needs functionality when you can have chaos? Naturally, I assumed it was me or my car. Silly me. So, I did Carly’s job for it: tested on a different phone and a BMW 320i. Turns out, Carly’s consistent… at being useless! A+ for reliability there. Save your money and your sanity. Get a wired OBD2 device. At least those don’t double as anger management tests!

The Carly scanner has some basic features unlocked despite paying a huge amount initially and once you start using it,you will have to pay extra money to unlock other features .Total scam and have so much hidden fee
Great customer service
Handy tool for my bmw 4 series 435d. I was able to code in a new battery myself, saved an expensive visit to the local bmw dealer. Scanner stopped working after a few months got onto customer service and they’re sending out a new one at no extra cost.
