Day One Journal: Private Diary

Hi, The app has not been working/ not responding /updating since 4weeks … I am not able to uninstall to reinstall it either. Please help. CK

Je l’utilise depuis des années maintenant. Super app qui, en plus, s’adapte et s’améliore constamment. Je recommande.

Heel handige en deftige app. Gebruik het reeds 8 jaar. Kan het niet meer missen. Je kunt er alles in kwijt, en heel prettig om alles terug te vinden

Gebruiksvriendelijk en overzichtelijk. De mogelijkheid om meerdere dagboeken bij te houden. Een praktische aanvulling voor het drukbezette leven.

What I love about Day One is that I can journal anywhere. I love the many options to make it completely yours. It’s easy to use and I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to keep some thoughts on ‘paper’.

Zoals alles nu meer en meer gedigitaliseerd is is dit een zeer goede mogelijkheid om alles van me af te schrijven. Ik heb niemand niet waar ik zo mag tegen klagen en zagen en ik laat het ook tenminste niet rondslingeren.

Ik probeer elke dag een leuk moment te plaatsen. Meestal zijn dat foto’s die tussen je andere foto’s op je gsm nooit meer opvallen. Leuk om eens terug te gaan in de tijd.

I really LOVE handwriting with my Apple Pencil on my iPad. It is in fact the way I read articles en do research: I aim not to just collect and store, but to summarise, process, deep think… while handwriting. You’ve guessed it: I do handwritten morning pages, I keep a handwritten evening journal IN APPLE NOTES and use Day One just for collecting thoughts. Which is a shame! Therefore, I wish it was possible to have lined and squared backgrounds available in Day One for the “drawing” bit. Even music paper if possible, since I’m a composer who has to write some ideas down from time to time. It’s so easy and beautiful on Apple Notes… but the rest of Apple Notes can’t give me the genius Day One does. Of course. I have this bold question: why on earth did a number one app like Day One “forget” so many (majority?) handwritters when it comes to journaling?
