The app is incredibly inaccurate at times. In the last month I’ve been using it, it has claimed I had hard acceleration when I didn’t and today even said I drove around a block and had hard braking when I did neither of these. It’s also inconsistent in how it judges driving speed. On a recent two-way trip with cruise set to the same value, it had me speeding one way but not the other. This seems to me to be a fraudulent way of manipulating the user’s score. The app encourages behaviour that is actually dangerous here in Quebec, namely driving far slower than the pace of traffic! You won’t convince me that doing 78 in a 70 to keep the app happy is a good idea when everyone else is going 90! That’s waiting for someone to run into you from behind. I’ll be requesting all of my data from Desjardins to see how bad it really is. I have another tracker and my dashcam to compare with…. Edit to add after developer response: The app continues to be inaccurate! Today I drove a 35 km trip two ways with the cruise at the same speed. The app claimed I was speeding at very specific locations, but my speed was the same or lower on the highway throughout the trip and never higher. It also claimed hard braking, which was not the case. Again, I did compare with the dashcam. This app is not useable and unfairly penalizes safe drivers.
I’ve been using this app for about a week now and to me, something does not seem right. For some reason, my overall score goes down every day, even though I score 3 stars on all my trips. Follow the speed limit. I accelerate very easy. I also break smooth. I don’t get it. There was also another trip that luckily I was able to delete. I scored bad because the phone was in my pocket and I guess it was affecting the screen. Something weird about all this. I will keep an eye on this, but if it keeps acting up, I will remove. Part of me feels like I will get screwed even though I’m doing nothing wrong!
I can see nothing in this app other than my name and my phone number. What does this app do? Very irritating to be honest.
Tried to login to the app multiple times. I was able to log in through a browser for desjardin home and auto insurance. App does not recognize my account and keeps saying account doesn’t exist.
Pretty much impossible to load.
It always fails to connect to the servers so I am not able to view my renewal documents or coverages, nor am I able to edit the info.
Hi, I was a customer of DEJARDINS INSURANCE for over 20 years with them. I'm glad that we cancelled because they were always increasing rates and also because the customer service was the worst of the worst that I ever experienced. Anyway, I'm warning people: don't get this company because you're going to regret it big time.Look in the best ADVICE don’t put your money in to the garbage
Il y a quelques mois m’était impossible d’utiliser l’application qui se fermait immédiatement après son lancement. Ce problème a été corrigé depuis avec la nouvelle version du 15 février. J’avais auparavant mis un commentaire ici à ce sujet et étant sans réponse j’ai appelé le service client Desjardins pour leur faire part du problème, suite à quoi nous avons réalisé ensemble une session de debug. Entre mon commentaire et la disponibilité de la correction il à fallu un peu de temps mais ça s’est fait. Merci à François pour son retour par courriel, ça fait plaisir de voir ça.
