The app still has some words under construction. So 4 stars. The samples and example sentences are very helpful.

App requires Local Network Access, which seems unrelevant with this app's nature and without giving that permission, app stops working. It's really suspicious.

The french-english dictionary is very good, the prononciations are great. I wish it also included french-french. Also sometimes the app get stuck trying to remove the previous word and type in the new one but in general it’s a very good app.

I love the app and the website! However, the app now refuses to work unless I give it permission to access the local network, which I won’t. If the app only connects to its web server, than why?! Disappointed!

This app gives accurate translations and gives example sentences which are very helpfull.

The app is great and fast when it works properly. But many, many times you look up a word, it appears for a moment in the results menu, and then disappears in favour of similar but unrelated words. Or, when you click on a result, it often opens a different word or a different search result. I don’t know why this happens. If you know any solution, please tell me.

Hope the vocabulary can be pronounced

This is a truly wonderful app (at least in Dutch-English, as I am using it). I use it all the time to aid my language learning and especially vocabulary enhancement (and even for hobby translation work). I appreciate that it provides real-life language samples from the internet, as this allows me to feel like I have a more-than-dictionary-definition grasp on a word. Semantics and nuances are the hardest things to learn in a new language, but the tools this app provides help to bridge that gap. My only beef would be that it sometimes crashes inexplicably but, for a freebie with this much powerful potential, it’s still going to get 5 stars from me!

This app is free. How do they earn money? By stealing information from you. They want local access which you should only give when necessary for the app and when you can fully trust the app. Please explain to me why you need access to get this app working? You need access to your server? Sure, via Internet! Not via my local network! Too bad, because their website is amazing. Just let me pay one or two euro’s for the app and skip the nonsense.
