Dictionary Linguee

I was not expecting this App to be this good. The developers did an incredible job.

I want to use this app, the translation service is excellent, but there are a couple of issues. First, the app asks for access to your local network, including a disclaimer that suggests they have updated the app since the new API rules were introduced. However, they provide no privacy details. Until otherwise informed, I can only imagine the app is trying to get around sand boxing because it definitely does not need to access actual network devices. If they bothered to update the privacy labels, it might give prospective users a clearer understanding of what they need access to a local network.

They have a big dataset, but the search function is very slowand they got no auto suggestions feature. After being in market for so long, and having such a big user base, you’d expect them to pay more attention to quality. And also it’s been almost a week now since ios 14.2, been released but Linguee still crashes and there’s no update yet

I’m not a great collector of apps, but I think Linguee is exceptionally good. I have a University Diploma in French language and literature, but day by day I find Linguee an essential guide in looking for a forgotten or unknown phrase or finding the right word. Linguee is a premier app. Je n’ai pas l’habitude de collectionner les apps, mais, à mon avis, Linguee est quelque chose d’exceptionelle. J’ai un diplôme universitaire en langue et littérature française, mais jour par jour je trouve Linguee un guide essentiel dans la recherche d’une expression oubliée ou inconnue ou à trouver le mot juste. Linguee est une app de haut niveau.

Lingui has never let me down. Examples are great. I use this tool more than others available because of it’s accuracy.

Easy to use, accurate, quick, with numerous actual examples in sentences that contextualise the translations. A must for everyone with an interest in translation.

The translations and examples in Linguee are the best by far out of all the German-to-English apps I've tried.
