Yet another rushed buggy app
It has become a bit of an epidemic these days with agencies (in this case UK gov) trying to be seen as modern, demanding that customers (or subjects) use new apps to accomplish conventional tasks. I am asked to used this app to confirm my identity, yet: - four passport scans are rejected. It demands I use the camera on the device, but won’t accept my perfectly scanned 300dpi image - every time it demands a “selfie”, 3 times accepted, the third time fails to upload despite the exact same network location etc. The 4th time having taken the exact same selfie, it goes into “infinite processing” mode and after 30 mins I need to cancel. - refuses to accept mobile phone contract verification even tho info is identical to that on invoice. - attempts to do drivers license essentially similar issues with passport - attempts to contact online help fail — waiting 30 mins for rep, I then get thrown off the site for being idle too long! There’s more, but just avoid this one. Clearly rushed into service with little or no user interface or real world testing. Like most apps today. Gave it an extra star for trying…. :-)
