Draft Paper

For quickly drawing non-standard 2D plans this app is proving to be better than Revit since it assumes nothing, giving you the freedom to just put ideas down without getting bogged on the technicalities of things like a curved wall. And it’s a great way to burn up moments of downtime in waiting rooms and such instead of draining your soul on the “socials”.

I paid for full features but I still can’t import from Dropbox. Sharing the file from Dropbox won’t show Draft Paper app as an option and the import feature inside the app only allows iCloud and even that isn’t working. Any recommendations?

There’s a few usability issues, sizing of tools and type being tightly tied to your current zoom level is a major one, though it’s still the best suited app I’ve found for simple scale drawings for elevations, floor plans and schematics.

Very hard to be accurate over long distances. Can only do cm or mm if zoomed right in. No way to enter a measurement other than drawing which also makes it very difficult to be accurate. Good for really rough plans but as soon as you want a real plan it is too difficult.

The fully version work fine for a low cost drawing system

This app is straight forward and simple! No fancy rubbish or any confusing features. I have used this for my job creating floor plans for real estates and it works like your usual grid paper! My only, ONLY wish is the possibility to save preset line work/ objects like pre-drawn toilets, doors, windows of various sizes etc. That little extra feature would make this app absolute and my workflow fast! I hope the developer sees this easy potential and implement it.

Great app, simple and efficient to use. Does have issues with drawing lines on the 45 degree angles, x and y axis when zooming out and the scale changes if the start of the line isn’t at a corner of the larger scale squares. Also tied in this same issue - is connecting up to existing lines that aren't in the corner of a square in the larger scale. Hope this could be rectified one day 👀 But still by far my favourite app going

Only started use this app and find it very easy to use very happy

You could maybe add in doors symbols would be really nice and maybe not let it have pixels numbers and texts would be lovely but overall the app is great!
