Great, but lacks innovation if you use it for >1 year
Plenty of exercises, different workout programs available. I use it 2+ years and it wasn’t enhanced in functionality since then. Could be optimised quite a bit.

I stopped using the app because it was so average, totally forgot about it. Then I get a charge for $150 for another year renewal. No warning of upcoming renewal and zero flexibility to cancel or refund even within minutes of the renewal processing. They’ve obviously gone for this approach to trap people to pay a second time due to how average the app is.
I am just restarting a program after a long period of inactivity. The app makes me start with 45 burpees welcome back! Frustrating
The Freeletics exercises are hard and will get you pouring for sure. It is good and I do recommend. Few things however….the interface is a little annoying. It relies almost exclusively on your ai coach which irritates me a bit. I have no idea what direction the ai is taking me. So a bit more like a dictatorship. You pick your goals and then do what computer man says. Shows muscle groups your working and all that. But there is no way to pause the exercises once you commit to starting it seems., so easy to get out of step with the timer and order if you say forgot to get your foam roller or it wasn’t available or whatever. The videos also play and start the counter sometimes before they stream so if you’re unfamiliar with the exercise you’ve lost 15 secs waiting to watch it. The only way to start a set of exorcises again is from the very beginning to the end. You cannot for example replay an exercise if you were puffed or trying to work out the exercise it seems from where you are, if you sucked and need to get your breath back to complete the set properly. So not fun if you’re unfit. I think if you’re committed to getting fit you won’t cheat, so better to have the control convenience to pause for life getting in the way, like a friend at gym wanting to say g’day etc and not lose your entire progress. Maybe as you get fitter these issues will become a non event or Freeletics is a shut out the world kinda app which I guess is good in one way. Jury is still out. You have to rate yourself at the end of the entire exercise every time for ai on technique and difficulty. And maybe this is how it goes, if you barely completed it, be honest and the ai will change your next routine accordingly. That’s a lot of faith in ai for me, but we’ll see.
I’ve been using the Freeletics app on and off for the past ten years since starting exercise with Lenny, one of my best friends. We were fascinated by the God workouts on the app and loved doing the Aphrodite. While the app still has room for improvement, it has come a long way since its inception. Still, nothing quite compares to Freeletics in providing flexible yet consistent workout training programs.
Extremely disappointed! You invest in a program, only to find out it doesn’t even belong to you in the end. I barely completed a week of workouts from a 3-month plan when Freeletics canceled my coach! Due to health issues, I couldn’t continue, and they refused to understand. All I’m asking is to get back the program I PAID for. After 6 years of loyalty to this app, this is how they treat their customers? Offering me a 30% discount on something I already purchased is insulting. To make matters worse, their employee didn’t take my complaint seriously at all. Instead of helping, she just deleted my account, causing me to lose all my progress and efforts from the past 6 years. Completely unprofessional. On top of that, three people signed up for a subscription because of my recommendation! Despite providing their email addresses and names, Freeletics won’t acknowledge them because they didn’t use the referral link. Now that they have over a million followers, they’ve lost all respect for their users. After all the money I’ve spent, this is beyond frustrating. I want nothing more to do with this app!
10 times higher price for Australians ? When comparing to India ?
Beware - if you subbecribe and wont be smart about it to cancel automatic renewal immediately, consider yourself fooled as with their “no refunds policy for automatic renewals” you will be charged even if you havent used the app for months and there is nothing you can do about it.
Tried to sign up to the app but it refused to register a weight over 150kg/300lbs, and I searched for a contact to ask if this is an error or not, but keep getting sent to help centre website without a way to contact anyone. Not very supportive to those trying to contact them and VERY unsupportive of overweight people trying to lose weight, when they won’t even let them sign up.
I wouldn’t bother downloading this app unless you’re willing to sign up for their subscription. The app appears to be useless to free users with all features locked behind a paywall. Clearly the long questionnaire during the sign up has been developed to incentivise signups. But it should be clearly stated to users that all features are locked before giving their details!
