Gone down hill
Story quality is terrible since Nathan came out and the company just keeps getting greedier. The new pyro archon is pretty underwhelming compared to other previous region archons. UNLESS u fork over ur money for the new character who’s banner is running at the same time as her banner. It feels like they purposely did this to force fans to spend more just so they can use the new archon. Very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend anyone to get into the game now.
Only 2 problemos
The servers are bad cause People really wanna play with their friends and fam! Also, like, you need more dark skinned people! My bestie is Mexican and she loved it less after natlan came out cause their are barely any black people! She was a little mad at first but got over it and now she is supa mad!

Completely unfair. Some characters have a rerun every version, example baizhu and wriothesley has not had a single rerun even though he was released one year ago. Same goes for all the cryo characters, last cryo 5* to be on the banner was ayaka and that was ages ago. Shenhe has been waiting for a rerun for almost two years. Don’t get me started on the PALE characters that are meant to represent dark skinned culture. Hoyo needs to make three banners not two there too many characters. Also, last male five * to be made was wrio, then they made kinich. Hoyo needs to stop making sexualised female characters. Bring back old genshin.
Cultural erasure
There is absolutely zero diversity within the playable cast. Over sixty characters and before Natlan (the newest region released) there were only five dark skinned characters, of which one was actually black and the others were tanned. Now with the newest nation, Natlan, which is heavily inspired by Aztec, Mayan, African (etc) cultures, only one black character is being released (Iansan). Every other character is white, with only two other characters being tan- Mualani and Xilonen- and even then, they’re extremely pale for the cultures that they come from. Ororun is another controversial character, as he is inspired by a Yoruba deity (Olorun)- which is a religion that originated from Nigeria (according to Google). The character hoyoverse released is very whitewashed, which is not okay. I’m not saying paler people don’t exist within these cultures, but not showing the diverse skin range of these cultures is wrong.
