Hop into the sandals of a gladiator and fight for glory in epic arena battles. Now with cross-platform realtime online multiplayer 1vs1 battles!
Gladihoppers is a wacky 2d physics gladiator battle simulator where the mix of the 2d physics and regular 2d animation offers a fun and original gameplay quite unlike your average gladiator mobile game. The combat system features two different battle stances for your gladiator, each with their own directional attacks of varying power and speed that allow for more dynamic and interesting battles.
In addition to melee attacks there are also javelins to throw and over 90 items to customize your gladiator with; swords, axes, maces, shields, helmets, armor, pants, gloves and shoes.
Gladihoppers blends retro pixel art 2d sprites with 3d low poly environments to bring you a unique looking style and stunning visuals that provide an immersive gladiator experience.
Features:
- Online multiplayer vs random opponent or a friend
- Fast-paced melee and ranged combat with hitboxes for each body part
- Career mode featuring various tactics and ways for you to bring your gladiator to glory
- 'Spartacus' War' strategy mode with factions, armies and towns to conquer
- 'Save the Emperor' arcade mode for a virtually endless fighting experience
- Quick Fight mode for custom and/or randomized short and fast-paced arena duels, including split screen multiplayer on the same device
- Over 100 pieces of equipment and 16 different character faces from four populations during the era of the ancient Roman Empire: Romans, Gauls, Nubians and Egyptians
- Seven arenas with their own unique look and feel: The Colosseum, Aegyptus, Macedonia, Gallia, Hispania, The Ludus & The Palace

Great needs a update tho
The games great listen to the other five star reviews I agree with them it is time for some new weapons or a new mode. I think a story mode would go hard. Like the war mode but it has a story behind it and there are cut scenes and stuff.
Gets old fast.
Combat is wonky, unresponsive, and your attacks are constantly changing. I can never predict what my dude will do when I press any attack button. Upgrades feel meaningless and often don’t even work. The surgeon I bought doesn’t heal me after fights and weapon upgrades gave me the exact same weapon I already had. The UI is cluttered and hard to read too it’s a pain just to figure out what I’m clicking on. Pretty mid game overall
Hear me out
I wish the blood would go on the weapons and the javelin would kill immediately in some spots like the brain or neck and add some pixely organs to add some realism, anyway I ❤️ the game!!!
Reccomendation for tribal conquest mode thingy
So I reccomend tje roman empire I manage one city and nobody can defeat my max tier Crassus. Also there are two hidden sound one on tthrowing a spear “YEET!” two on an enemy’s death “Ooof!” Oof is quiet Yeet is loud
Exceeded my expectations
This game is AMAZING! It has a unique 8-bit art-style, cool game mechanics, and a decent amount of content/game-modes.
This game is really underrated and I’d highly encourage people to play it, you won’t regret it!
I like this game.
I picked this game up after a friend said: "hey, I know you like fighting games, try Gladihopper!" I know he said it as a joke since im into the more serious foghting games like MK. But I still really love this game! The only thing that's missing and honestly leaves me craving for it is a little gore. Just a little. Please? Anyways, great game. Five stars.
Very fun
For a smaller game this is very fun definitely worth a play
Pretty bad
Enemy ai predicts EVERY move. You’ll hit like a marshmallow while the enemy hits like a truck. The enemy will have zero armor and the weakest shield, yet they somehow take only 2 damage from a maxed out weapon and high stats, meanwhile I have maxed armor and a shield and still take 100+ damage from a wooden stick.
painfully good
this is a gambling game and the currency is my sanity
Amazing game but kind of short & and I have some ideas!
Am In love with this game tbh, I love the fighting and the gore, and all the different races, for example, fanatic, swordsman, spears men, axe men and etc. Wish there’s more coming soon but when you pretty much do everything your adventure ends there.
Ideas:
* Make the story line longer after the ending, farm or fight.
* add more armor and weapons or more races.
* add to spartan wars (if wanted anyway)
* add more secret names, like and example is Kratos, which gives the chaos of war blades.
* add dual blades or axes?
-btw that’s it for now, keep on going!! (One of my favorite games to) - from a gladiator.
