I’ve now spent 45 minutes just trying to setup a hub. It randomly just freezes at different points during the setup. One of the most frustrating apps ever

I just spent more than $400 for the Harmony Elite, and if using Apple products, it can only be set up using this app. Yet once it finds the hub and pairs it, it says to “put the remote into the cradle.” And when I do so - nothing. It just stops there. Rebooted, re-paired, set up a new account - tried every fix I could find anywhere - nothing. Logitech’s support for Apple products is at least five years behind every other tech company on the planet. Why else would more than 90% of the reviews be one star?

The app no longer allows for long-in with SmartThings. I end up in and endless successful log-in / authorization time-out loop. Logitech has abandoned this product so, buyer beware.

Truly one of the least reliable apps I have to use.

Worked fine for years then all of a sudden app inputs do not connect. He handheld remote works fine so it’s not the hub.

The whole idea of having an app on your iPhone to act as remote control is to have a blank slate from which you can customize the button positions for your specific use case. This app for years has failed numerous times over to make this a reality for its user base. What a shame!

The app is “checking for changes”. I haven’t even been able to set my remote up in 30 minutes. I haven’t even been able to start, because the app won’t stop “checking for changes” and thinks I shouldn’t be allowed to do anything while it’s “checking for changes”.

The app hangs a lot on 17.5. Particularly when trying to adjust inputs.

I’ve had this hub and remote for years. I had the earlier version of the remote without the hub before that. It’s never worked right. I followed all the steps, called tech support, read the Reddit posts, etc, and nothing can get this to work correctly. It’s just $400 garbage. It used to work somewhat and that’s why I kept it around. It doesn’t switch inputs any longer. It only turns my equipment on and that’s it. I have lost faith with Logitech and will find another company to try.

Bought the harmony universal remote for $70 12/23/2017, to cut down on the number of times my wife called me which of 5 remotes she needed to accomplish what she wanted from our system. It was the best $70 I spent ever. The app was ancient technology when it arrived, and remains basically unchanged. But hey, IT WORKS. I installed the app on an old iPhone, and 6 years later we still use that iPhone exclusively as the universal remote. Considering how often updates cause unintended problems, I’m satisfied with “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. It’s unfortunate Logitech abandoned the Harmony remote and the associated app.
