IDAGIO Stream Classical Music

IDAGIO is a wonderful surprise for a passionate lover of classical music. I use IDAGIO in combination with Spotify, and find these two musical apps fulfill all my basic needs for a variety of compositions and various composers works. In addition you can download all the music you want and listen to them everywhere, just as you can on Spotify. The only minus here is that it is not so easy to find back to all your downloaded favorites as it is on Spotify. What pleases me most with IDAGIO is superb written introduction by professional connoisseurs to both composers and musicians and all the historical musical periods of classic music from medieval time to our present new composers. Brilliant! In addition you can read basic information on every cd, time for release, orchestra, performers and referrals to plenty of other cd’s they have released. Made by and for people with passion

This is the first time I feel compelled to write an app review without being pushed to do so. Even after one year Idagio does not cease to impress me. Vast selection of recordings, many of them top notch, great flexible search function. Even the thematic playlists, that I was skeptical about to begin with, are nicely composed and include a healthy share of pleasant surprises. It is really the most convincing app for classical music that I have experienced so far - and I have tried a few. Keep it up!

Finally a service that works for classical music lovers! Idagio makes it easy to navigate the world og classical music, browsing and searching for orchestras, performers, composers and works in a way that is natural for classical music.

Good app, nice content. But I miss Carplay support a lot. Please!

The IDAGIO music library is amazing, with dozens or hundreds of recordings of many works. The focus on composer rather than performer is refreshing after suffering through Apple and Spotify’s handling of classical music. The app implementation leaves somewhat to be desired, however. The “My collection” scales incredibly poorly, all recordings you add are displayed in a flat list with no possibility for drill down in any dimension - I would at least expect to be able to list composers and drill down to one composer’s saved recordings. You can download stuff, but I have found nowhere to list and manage what I have downloaded. The “Discover” section is completely generic and has no idea about my preferences even when I have spent hundreds of hours listening to music through the app. “Recently played” doesn’t sync across devices. The IDAGIO team should employ UXers. Or better ones. Or give the ones they have more time, money and leverage. This service could be REALLY great. As it is its just very good.

Finally a streaming app developed by someone with passion for what they stream!

Wonderful app. I’ve given up listening to anything but classical and sacred music and the difference is noticeable. This app works great and gives great recommendations. Huge fan.
