A wonderful app for the iPhone, hugely useful for anyone learning Japanese. Use Kotoba to teach you Kanji and as a comprehensive dictionary. Full of nice features and examples to contextualise words. Remarkably, this app is free. Hands down the app that impresses me the most in any category!

This is one of the best apps ever. You get a full, offline Japanese dictionary that even shows you sentence examples, how to write Kanji, and more. And amazingly it's completely free. A must have.

If you are in any way interested in the Japanese language, then you must have this app. In a perfect world, nothing further would need to be said. But as it isn't, let me explain. This app gives you a full dictionary, various convenient ways to search for kanji and words and various conjugations in an intuitive and helpful style and all for free. Leaves most other Japanese language apps in the dust.

why does not show the value in Russian. Please fix the bug

I have been living in Japan since 2011(months after the Great Earthquake Disaster) and THIS APP HAS SAVED ME EVER SINCE!!! When I can’t say what i want in Japanese, i always use this app. Thank you so much to the people that made this app possible. And THEY MADE IT FREE!

I have come across many different dictionary apps over the years, but none comes close to imiwa for speed, accuracy, and usability. There is simply no better Japanese dictionary app

Already my go to dictionary app on iPhone on iPad. Very nice to be able to directly get the Mac version from the App store with the familiar interface.
