KDE Connect

Apple did something to prevent KDE Connect from functioning with 16.05 and later releases of its pseudo “operating system.” Using iPhone or iPad does not matter. The problem is definitely with Apple and their “walled garden.” Apple needs to get with the program and knock down their wall. Or the users will do it for them by leaving. I know this is not a problem on the Linux side because I have two instances of Linux running on two separate computers and they connect and transfer files with KDE Connect as intended. Anyone know what would make a good Linux phone and a good Linux tablet?

This app is awesome. I needed a phone remote to connect to my Linux laptop and this app works seamlessly. I’m super impressed with how good it is. I haven’t tried the other features of the app, but the remote alone makes this app deserve a five star rating. Excellent app and I hope to see new features developed.

This app does so many supercool things. Yes its linux so you have to accept any rough edges.

This app really helps bridge my Apple and KDE technology. I can move files directly from iCloud Files to my KDE Neon PC and back. I use it daily.

Drag n drop barely works, there is no two finger scrolling like in the android version and the on-screen scrollbar is way too sensitive without an option to adjust. I guess this iPhone is worthless now.

After a recent update to KDE 6.2 on my desktop, my iPhone and computer can no longer see each other. Can connect via Bluetooth but not kdeconnect

I used to use KDE and had to move to dual boot with Windows and I have an iPhone, gosh that’s a combo. I’m glad I found this app that makes it incredibly easy to drop files and even more: control my device mouse clicks, keyboard etc. And most importantly it’s being worked on with updates. Lots of apps are abandoned not this one. Thanks devs.

Could an option be added to prevent the phone from sleeping while the app is open? Great app, thank you!
