KENWOOD DASH CAM MANAGER

I’m very frustrated with this dash cam set up. I’ve tried every which way to try to get it connected to my phone. With no success. Help….

Absolute waste of time. Not easy to connect and doesn’t stay connected then won’t reconnect . Good to know despite using location it thinks I live in Pasadena USA not W Yorkshire England. Happily deleting app, just hope the dash cam works better than the app.

No help function. Unintuitive interface. No ability to access existing video files. Don’t bother downloading you will only be disappointed and frustrated.

This app needs an update because it can’t seem to connect wirelessly with my iPhone 13. No matter what I try, the app refuses to sync to my dashcam. The last app update was 2 years ago. Get a move on, Kenwood app developers.

I can connect to the camera WiFi no problem however when selecting images or videos to download I see the pop up saying file downloaded (which is instant) but no files are ever downloaded. What’s going on?

The most mission critical thing for an app like this is connecting to the device. But when you try (iPhone 13) the app takes you to the settings screen it does not generate a list of devices to connect to. The instructions are non-existent. I managed to connect the device myself using the Wi-Fi settings screen on the phone - I.e ignore instructions and go back to basics. Once connected things don’t improve. The app is not intuitive to use and is slow to transfer data. Often it is not clear quite what the app is doing. For some daft reason the app will drop connection to the device if you navigate to other parts of the app.

The camera and clarity are excellent but it will not connect to your mobile.

Downloaded and connected straight away, Followed the instructions and was up and running in no time. You have to connect to the Kenwood Wi-Fi and enter the code given on the dashcam screen.

Suspect most of the bad reviews on here are down to the very poor instructions that come with is this device. Took me less than a minute to figure this out and by my own tinkering had everything up and running in under five minutes. The actual set up process is simple and if you have any degree a tech ability, follow you instincts and you’ll be up and running in no time.
