Kwikset

Like the app and it’s very useful in it’s functionality. Would be even better if we can add it to CarPlay so I can unlock from my car stereo. Might just be wishful thinking thou

Absolutely horrible app. Idk how people even buy Kwikset locks for use. They’re useless! The Aura lock required firmware update upon install. I tried for 2 hours to get this to work. Uninstalled and reinstalled app. Factor reset the lock at least 5x. Turn off phone and back on. Tried a different phone. The result? Firmware update failed. In other words, useless lock. I can’t set an unlock combo without the update. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Never buying Kwikset again. Stay away from Kwikset and especially the app!!! Edit: I’ve tried the steps in the developer response. It does not work. Go with Schlage instead. I installed their lock in less than 5 minutes and works seamlessly.

This app used to work with the home Connect 620 lock but there’s no longer an option to add that if adding a lock in the app. I installed several locks in my home using that app in 2023. With their recent updates in 2024, the app now only supports halo and aura locks. Wish I had known that before I bought yet another home connect lock and then was unable to add it to my app. 👎👎👎

Despite following the instructions, this app won’t connect my phone via Bluetooth.

Ok, so you can manage your lock. That's the only positive. It lacks so many other things that would be sensible. Like even something as simple as notifications. Why can I NOT edit notifications?? I have two locks. One, I only need notifications for. Why can't I turn them off for the other? Then you look deeper and there's actually not one single spot in this app that regards to notifications. You're just stuck with them on unless you disable on the iOS side...just ridiculous.

It does work and I enjoy the locks and the quality. Biggest features I’d like is push notifications for when the batteries should be replaced and better integration with google home.

Worst app ever. No matter how many times and how many email addresses I tried, I never get the email with the verification code. I see this is a Spectrum app. No further explanation necessary

Please fix your app. Every couple months the app randomly drops connection with my phone and my property manager’s phone. Luckily she can go by and reconnect but I’m out of state and need to fly back in to reconnect. Do better!

I can rarely get the app to actually lock or unlock the deadbolt. It is a very poor application. What an abysmal failure of an app. It actual functions MAYBE five percent of the time. I wish I had purchased a different brand.

The app is so slow when clicking on any hyperlink within it. Perhaps it was just today. I also went to settings in the app, and could never get back to the actual lock-there is just no icons to do so that I could find. I had to reboot my whole phone to do that.
