Great app, very easy to use, ideal for entry level.
There are some low reviews on here and I feel this gives an unjustified negative impression of the product as a whole. Laserpecker pro is a great product and the iPhone app makes the whole setup very portable and simple to use. I’d definitely recommend both.
This app is good, but it could be better. I would have preferred an option to save all the settings for a project, so that I could quickly switch between projects for different work pieces. As it stands, I can save just the image. This is useful but could definitely be improved on, personally I feel this to be a minor inconvenience rather than a problem.
It works not great
I used rotary function with the device. I even complained to them it’s not working properly with rotary function to them still there were not updated. Or not even respond to me.
Shocking
After using the desktop version of this app since spending over £1000 on a brand new laserpecker 2 I wanted to use it untethered from my laptop, so I installed this abomination of an app. First trying to log in & touching the log in button causes the displayed information to shoot up & off the screen at the top. I can drag the screen down and see the information & log in button but nothing happens. I’ve tried resetting my password but no emails show up to change it. I’ve tried registering with another email to set up a new account & it just does the same thing, all the contents of the screen scroll up & off the screen making it unusable. Once again I can pull the information down from the top of the iPad screen but non of the buttons respond & I can’t use this at all.
Do better.
I realise I’m trying to connect to a machine that isn’t the top of your range & that you probably can’t be bothered to support any more but this app is appalling.
I’d be embarrassed to be involved in it.
App crashes
The machine is slick and for what it costs the app lets it down. The “creation” button on the home screen of the app just makes it crash so work needs to be done else where then transferred to the app via album and that affects the quality
the laser is great but the app is awful
I have decided to return the laser that works great but the app crashes all the time rendering it impossible to work. Different devices have been used with the same problem of loosing the connection and crashing. It is a shame because the hardware is brilliant but simply useless with no application.
More needed
Overall the app does what it’s meant to but for what you pay for the Laserpecker machine the app needs to be able to do more.
More functions to enable the machine to be better than what it already is.
My biggest gripe is with the fonts, I can’t add fonts via my iPhone, I do a lot if stuff for my local MC and to be able to write their MC name I need to add fonts. Please enable this for the IPhones and you will be heading in the right direction
IPad User
I use an iPad with a keyboard and the fact this app does not support landscape is a huge flop. I would like an iPad version of this app that works in both orientations.
desperately needs update.
Functions ok, but considering the price of the laserpecker, very limited in regard to creativity.
Very clunky & basic vectorisation of images, and since iOS update 14, you are unable to use additional or downloaded fonts.
Reported the issue, but I guess the language barrier was to great. Apple did inform developers of the change in how it handles fonts, but still not updated after a year now.
NEW UPDATE IS RESIZING IMAGES
This app worked perfectly until the last update. Now when we save images the app is rescaling them and all our previous dimensions are no longer compatible. We used to laser with a 54mm height and 40mm width, now when inputting 54mm the app gives a 82mm width. Please fix as the laser is now unusable with an iPhone!
Fantastic.
Really loving my new LaserPecker Pro. What a great piece of kit. I’m a bit of a hobby artist and like to draw the images I use with a black outliner pen then take a photo of it. This method really works well within the app, which is a bit basic but is perfect for what I want it for, so 5 stars from me. Brilliant.
