I really love what Meetup has done to transform our communities and lives. The price has been a reasonable amount to cover for the past 10+ years for the group I run. The recent increase 150%+ is a maddening, out of touch price hike. It’s is going to make it so difficult for small groups to continue. Let’s see how the next 6 months go to see if all the changes make it fancy enough to swallow this 🤯
I don’t know why this has to be separate app and it’s remarkably glitchy.
I feel kind of generous giving 2 stars but I feel bad giving one. I used to really like Meetup up but what a drop in service. The app is awful, it will shut down rsvps, omit things I write, duplicate … I can NOT email members or attendees. I have zero control and no customer service at all. I left Meetup once before and I will again. Eventbrite is so much easier and better
I find the check in facility unreliable. Sometimes checked people appear not checked in
When creating a event. I would like to see all previous photos from the group or from a previous Meetup specific to that evetn. It’s easier than downloading from Google. Thanks Niamh
Sad what this platform has become
Signed up for paid plan $45/mo. No longer need. Tried to cancel by going to my profile, subscriptions, cancel subscription, but it failed to do anything and I got charged another month just now. Tried again and pressing cancel subscription basically brings up a black screen with an x to close it, but no cancellation. Want a refund and a bug fix.
The increase in price isnot worth the product. I’ve been trying to post an event for 3 days and I just get a swirling. Just won’t connect. Very frustrating!
Overpriced and expensive app that organizers are obligated to pay for a faulty product where I can’t even edit the text descriptions without it getting scrambled or worse, crashing the app completely. I just updated this today in December 2024 and its still not working
It was released 4 days ago but keeps kicking me out. I have to use the web version.
