We have used mileage plus for years and never had any problems. It is great that we get a lounge pass every year. If you’re flying with United Airlines, be sure that you have a mileage plus account.

I have been using this app for years. My husband and I check the app first to see if a restaurant is on it. I have also suggested a this app to restaurants to join.

App now asks for additional security every time and takes it to the United website. This is cumbersome when you’re in front of a register and people behind you giving dirty looks!!!! I have written to MPX multiple times about it but got nothing back. FIX this!!!!

I have wasted at least two hours trying to get a legitimate flight to attach to my account, and what I get is a verification text (number is verified) trying to pilfer me out of $1.99 a week. No verification code, just an “opportunity to upgrade”. That is not how I would expect a company as large as United to be, but that is what’s happening. I am going to dump this app, and do my best to avoid flying United ever again . I know that is not possible, because not all airlines fly everywhere, but I can promise that if it is not pertinent, I will not go if it means flying United. I am tired of being nickel and dimed to death. Keep your lousy app, and I hope you get everything you deserve!

The app doesn’t let one search geographic areas. The app only permits search via giving it access to your location. Terrible service.

Great concept, but never works. Out of the 10 times I’ve tried to buy an e-gift card to earn miles, it worked ONCE. I’ve stood in stores for 30+ minutes trying to purchase e-gift cards to earn miles for my purchase. Multiple different credit cards, I tried through the app and I also tried through the website itself. Nothing works. Totally unacceptable in todays day and age. Don’t offer something if it never works.

Previously app users were able to search by location, or even search by an expanded Map View for merchants and particularly MileagePlus Dining program restaurants outside of one’s immediate/home territory. This was a very useful integral feature to expand one’s search beyond your immediate area, which of course is necessary for selecting MileagePlus Dining restaurants when planning ahead for travel, while on road trips or when visiting locations outside of your immediate area. In recent updates to the Mileage Plus-X app, this functionality has been lost. I even tried turning “location” off on my device, in hopes that it would show ALL options on an expanded map view or show merchants/restaurants in the current expanding map view as I moved it to areas I’m interested in seeing options in, as it previous did… but it no longer does so. It now defaults to the same “Nearby” options based on current location, which when home, users are generally already familiar with. I don’t need an app to help “discover” businesses I’m already familiar with. What WAS formerly helpful was finding options in areas I’m LESS familiar with. Due to the LOSS of this feature, my use of MileagePlus Dining restaurants has significantly declined.

As of today, I can no longer sign in, and there is no support available, or reporting mechanism, to get help. I hope someone at United is working on this.

I like the app purely for the fact that I can earn miles for everyday purchases. The customer service on the other hand is pretty bad. I had an issue once where I purchased 1 gift card and they charged me for 2, it took them a week to respond to my initial email, then they tried to tell me I actually purchased 2 gift cards for the same amount. Like why would I do that? 🤦🏻‍♀️ Then most recently my app had a major glitch when I attempted to purchase a gift card it kept telling me that the app was not able to complete my purchase and my transaction was declined. For every establishment, not just 1. I emailed them as the error message directed, it took them 4 days to respond to my initial email, but they didn’t respond with anything useful, just a snip of my request being escalated but at the bottom it said to attach any useful evidence. So I responded with a screen shot of the error message. And still a week later no response. This customer service is not a good look for United.

For whatever reason, I have to log into my United account as well, and when I do, nothing happens. It’s just a spinning circle. This used to be a great app and now it’s useless
