Mullvad VPN

I’m disappointed to report that my experience with Mullvad VPN has been rather underwhelming, primarily due to its frequent disconnections. For a service that is meant to provide consistent, secure, and private connections, the instability I experienced was quite frustrating. As soon as I connected to Mullvad VPN, I noticed an immediate inconsistency in maintaining a stable connection. I was continuously being disconnected, resulting in numerous interruptions during my online sessions. This disruption in the connection not only hampered my productivity but also raised concerns about the overall reliability of this VPN service. For a VPN service that markets itself on reliability and performance, Mullvad VPN didn’t meet these expectations in my experience. It seemed as if there was a constant struggle to maintain a secure connection, which for me, is a fundamental feature of any VPN service. In the world of online security and privacy, reliability should not be compromised. Given these issues, I can’t recommend Mullvad VPN for users who require stable and uninterrupted online access. While I hope these connectivity issues are just temporary and will be addressed in future updates, my experience as it stands was far from satisfactory.

I did a lot of research and mullvad is the one that offers ultimate transparency on how their system works. Absolutely no logs policy. There's even a recent news where even the NOA (police) was not able to capture any information from them and even if they do, they wouldn't find any since Mullvad doesn't log anything. Great app/service!

The new multihop feature released in August 2024 doesn’t work on iOS. I was looking forward to using it, but support team just said it has problems and to turn it off. Makes me question their QA/QC process. Please fix.

Never able to establish a connection when outside the country (US). Do not recommend if you travel often. Pretty much incompatible with airport networks.

I can no longer recommend this app. It’s been 6 months of connectivity issues that have not been resolved. There are problems with being disconnected and difficulties reconnecting. I was told to try the WireGuard app. That worked for a while but now I often get zero data when connected. I also use an alternative brand VPN. I just switch over to that one and everything works fine so the problem is not my wifi or cellular connections. Other companies have figured this out so I can’t understand how after many months nothing has changed. There are also IP address registration problems that lead some companies into thinking you’re in another country. Today I connected to McAllen, TX. I couldn’t make a purchase because websites thought I was in the Czech Republic. Same with Detroit. Websites thought I was in London.

Nothing bad to say about this VPN, I love it. My only suggestion would be adding a “disconnect for x minutes” button that will automatically reconnect you after the allotted time is up. I have many times where I disconnect to view a blocked page and forget to reconnect.

I like the app and VPN, but it would be nice to have a widget that showed connection status and allowed quick connect/disconnect without pulling up the app.

Can you add a security switch to the iOS program? This is very important to me. Thank you. Why can't the functions on Windows be used in iOS?
