Sorting by aisle is just weird
Usually the “sort by aisle” works as expected - in the order the aisles are in the store. But every once in a while everything rearranges itself into a random nonsensical order of aisles. Then it is totally useless. I can’t figure out how to get it back in the right order. I just asked a manager. She didn’t know either. Please fix it. This bug has been happening for at least a year.
App features not there
This is no Face ID to log in on the app. Seems outdated in 2024
Doesn’t work
Every time I try to log in, it asks me if I want to allow heb access etc. when I hit allow, it says “something went wrong” and send me back to login screen.
Have to log in every time
This HEB app requires me to log back in every time o open it. And then requires me to input a code I receive via email. Very bad design of an app that is intended to be used while shopping. Also, FaceID needs to be an option for sign in.
Horrible
This app is not intuitive. First select a delivery time. I would suspect the times offered would be available. Not so, you only find out after you select a time that it isn’t available. But, you can go back and select another time. Really.
Clunky, leaves out vital features
HEB's app misses so many obvious and convenient features: 1. The "products you buy frequently" tab does not update. Contains products purchased twice 6 months ago, but does not contain products purchased 6 times in a row more recently. 2. When an item is out of stock upon pickup, there is no option to add it to a future order. 3. Item frequency is not tracked. HEB could easily predict when frequently purchased items are needed and recommend them, automating shopping, but instead I repeat the same actions over and over, like I am a robot. Shouldn't an APP be doing this very simple task(Big shrug)? 4. After putting in an order, new items selected start a New order, instead of the option to add them being automatic. Who would want this? 5. Search bar ignores certain words. "Tomato sauce packet" brings up jars of tomato sauce, hundreds of them, while ignoring the word packet. Summation: Of all the apps I have to use almost daily, HEB's is embarrassingly feature antiquated. Having my source of FOOD be this inconvenient is a constant frustration.
Hard to use
I’m standing in the aisle trying to log in, surrounded by shoppers, and when that’s done, it doesn’t know where I normally shop. When I tell it, it suddenly doesn’t know my email and phone number. If I don’t provide that (again as this is the username), I can’t use the app. Guest login? Doesn’t let you use the app. I’m standing in front of a deodorant display in the aisle like an idiot just trying to use a coupon I have to scan. I’ll get the deodorant somewhere else.
Often falls short “Helping Texans”
I can’t believe how an, amateur, obtuse and poorly intuitive the app is “helpful”. Here’s some examples of app clunkiness. If a product is out of stock in the store, which HEB even carries the same product? I have to just keep switching stores until I have a result. This is an issue because HEB changes the products stocked at each store. Next HEB loves to reshuffle their store’s layout. So, find stuff is just as annoying as a first visit to a location. Since the app can’t sense location, the address has to be determined in google and that manually searched for. Perhaps if I could find an employee, that would help. However, locating help, especially after the customer service closes, much earlier now. These are features commonly solved with other retailers. I suspect that HEB doesn’t really know how to put themselves in the customers’ shoes. They should replace the team that approved this kluge
Refuses to let you add payment method
I keep trying to add my payment method for the past 2 days for curbside and all I keep getting is unable to submit request…pretty inconvenient in my book as I can’t complete my order without paying.
Great app, with one needed improvement
Love the app and ability to order groceries for pickup and delivery! Also a fan of creating in-store shopping lists that group the items per location of the specific store you’re shopping at! I just wish there was a way to clear the whole list when done shopping. The next time I go in to use the app for in-store shopping I still have the last list I created there and have to go through and individually delete all the items from my last shopping trip so I don’t confuse them with my current trip. Would love a clear all button to remove the past items so I can start from a clear screen. Otherwise very happy with the app!
