If it was possible go give a 0 star review for N26, I would have done it. This bank is a total disgrace. They arbitrarily close the accounts of many people without any reason and they don’t give their money back (you can check on Google). The customer service is awful, ignoring all the messages. It’s been more than 3 weeks since I requested the closing of my account and nothing has been done yet but they froze my money with no possibility to get it back. It’s a shame that is bank is allowed to operate in EU.
Slow and unresponsive customer service. From the beginning I have been only having problems with this so called “bank” have not even been able to receive first funds, and customer service responds every 4 days. It seems regular banks keep being the best option, and with lower fees

Unlawful Account Blocking and Poor Communication by N26 On September 27, 2024, N26 unlawfully blocked my account without any prior notification. Despite briefly reopening the account, it was blocked again, and it took 96 hours before I received any explanation. This lack of communication and transparency is unacceptable. N26’s actions violated Article 88 of the Payment Services Directive (PSD2), which requires immediate notification of account blocks. Additionally, they infringed on my rights under Article 1 of Protocol 1 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), by restricting my access to my own funds without valid justification. This situation has caused me significant financial harm, including the inability to pay my employees’ salaries and settle business obligations, as well as personal inconvenience with my accommodation. I demand that N26 immediately unblock my account and provide compensation for the damages caused. If not, I will escalate this issue legally. This version is short enough to fit into a Trustpilot review while maintaining the legal seriousness of your complaint.
Customer since 5 years I decided to switch to the paid "Smart" subscription just to have a few more IBAN-enabled accounts. Honestly, the "Smart" is not worth for what it offers. I will seriously reconsider my decision after a year or so. The interest rate for the savings account will drop significantly as of October 2024. Indirectly they oblige you to pay for the costly "Metal" subscription just to get a better interest rate. Regarding their helpdesk service I noticed a considerable degradation compared to 5 years in the past. They were reachable much quicker, which is no longer the case. Whenever I need some sort of assistance I stumble upon the Neon AI chatbot and I can tell that it is far from helpful. There are still several bugs in the application. For example, it is impossible to confirm the address for receveing the new Mastercard. The message "Houston, we have a problem" keeps appearing. I believe that I will leave them and transfer everything to Revolut, unless they make a serious effort to become better.
Utilisez juste le service gratuit et jamais payant. FUYEZ. Vraiment. J'ai utilisé leur service d'assurance. Ils m'ont remboursé. Quelques temps après ils reviennent chez moi avec une société de recouvrement et me demande de rembourser ce qu'ils m'ont donné sinon justice. L'excuse ? Ils ont droit de se rétracter après re-analyse. De vrai voleur.
