Worst entity I ever worked with. They blocked my account for no reason and nobody warned me nor even helped me. Customer service is useless. For anyone reading this check on google “N26 blocked account” and you’ll see thousands of cases all over the world of people having same issue I had. Do not do this and look for a real bank.
One of the worst banking support experiences I’ve ever had, I really did think it was ok generally and have been a loyal customer, until you actually need support, then you are lied too, and one guy made a complete mistake and reset my whole account, has left me basically stranded in a foreign country with no ability to access the app or use my card which I sent them instructions I got from the N26 website to resolve but they don’t actually read them, this is my only source of money and when I ask for a phone number for someone to actually speak to for help they drop off the chat and I’m forced to wait 2.5 or more before the next person comes who can’t help. I’ve been promised call backs which have never happened, left needing to seek legal counsel just to try and resolve this.

This app been working great for ages but now it suddenly doesn’t let me log in. I can’t even log in on the website cause the website doesn’t load. I need this fixed cause I need to access my money. Fix this log in error please. I’ve tried all the old tricks none work.
This account has a Spanish IBAN but the Spanish Government do not legitimise it as acceptable to pay their invoices online. An online document search could be done by Credit Card or Direct Debit using the N26 IBAN
My current account was drained of €13k via 54 different transactions in foreign countries and not one was flagged or stopped by N26. I contacted N26 about the unauthorised and unrecognised transactions. They took over 5 days to respond, saying that they had ‘closed my case’ as it was a google Wallet issue. I don’t have google wallet. I asked for proof. They said they couldn’t provide those documents. No emergency money was offered, despite me now having no money and 3 kids. You cannot get through to anyone on web chat. I found a phone number on my card and had to magnify it to read the numbers. No one answers. I messaged X, insta, Complaints, no one responds or helps. The only message I received was N26 telling me they have charged me for the overdraft because I’m in arrears!! My money was stolen, my lawyer says N26 is legally obliged to pay it back, it is just appalling that a simple fraud case like this has to go to the ombudsmen. I regret ever ever trusting this bank to keep my money safe.
I opened this account when I was in Germany, I have now moved to the UK. For 5 years I keep getting emails that my account is locked because I need to update my address, which I have tried SEVERAL TIMES!!! I now want to close my account BUT… 1. My card is locked 2. I tried adding my UK address to unlock the card 3. N26 app gives me errors that the address is invalid, even when it shouldn’t be 4. To close my account I need to use or send any remaining balance in the card 5. Guess what? I can’t use or send any money because MY CARD IS LOCKED!!!
I have been waiting for N26 to send my my bank card for over 5 weeks now. They constantly give excuses and never resolve the problem. The bank’s interface is cumbersome and the messaging system is a joke. Nothing works in the mobile app and I can’t wait to cancel my account.
Very poor experience. I’ve just moved from the UK to Austria and need to open a bank account here. As someone who loves neo banks my first go-to was N26 as I didn’t want to bother with traditional banks. I went through the onboarding flow, submitted all my info and uploaded a copy of my ID along with a video. 24-42 hours later I just received an email that they can’t offer an account to me at this time. No explanation, follow up or further AML or proof of address requested. Very disappointing experience
