Notifications don’t work since the last app update.

The app should enable users to define their own boundaries, rather than imposing the platform’s preconceived notions. Unfortunately, the app’s inability to allow me to freely choose my room boundaries makes it impossible to split the rooms as desired.

For such an expensive appliance, I am so frustrated about the lack of attention to an easier interface on how to operate this device. I have now deleted the app and am reinstalling to see if I can get it to work better this time. I mapped my home. I only have two carpeted areas and the rest is tile or wood laminate. I could never get an entire room cleaned. For some reason, it would only go one side of the dining room and not the other. I couldn’t figure out how to tell the app that my dining room was all carpet. So all I could see was these little carpet indicators in part of the room. Same thing with the carpeted area in my small living room. I tried several times to have it simply vacuum so then I could go back and mop the bedroom, which has the wood laminate flooring on it. It just went in a few feet into the room, then started circling around and then returned itself to the station. I can’t even easily figure out how to switch back-and-forth between just mopping, or the other options. Again, there is no easy interface for this, so I keep messing with it until I finally seem to stumble on the right combination. I had a way less expensive Vacuum robot (no mopping) that was so easy to figure out how to do things because it had a smart interface. I’ll update this review once I get the app reinstalled and hopefully get it to actually work this time. By the way, I was under the impression that I could link this to my SmartThings app, but there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to do that either.

Open floor plan, it sees walls as obstacles and splitting fails after dozens of attempts. Same results with several remaps. I like the product but the app is crappy. Please fix this issue.

The unit itself is great. It does a great job and makes life so mush better. The app interface could use work. It’s not a simple thing to change maps. It’s truly not user friendly. If you forget to how to find a map takes 20 min to figure it out.

Works great with the Freo Z Ultra. A bit fussy during initial setup but after that, really happy with the mapping and cleaning.

Tried to log in on an iPad after setting the password on my iPhone. Evidently I used too many characters (13 used) at account creation so it won’t accept the full password (no mention of password length upon account creation) on my iPad. Kinda hard to access my profile if I can’t log in. This thing is likely going back to seller.

I just moved to a new location. The app does not connect to Bluetooth on IOS 18. My Bluetooth doesn’t even see the Narwal. I have connected the base to the same WiFi as my phone. That should be enough to allow connectivity. Devs, update the app for IOS 18 please!
