Natural Cycles: Birth Control

I cannot handle hormonal birth control and I started trying NC after a friend suggested it to me. It is a really great method to learn about your body and also introduce a nice routine in your day.

Ottima app per chi vuole conoscere meglio come funziona il proprio corpo ed è alla ricerca di un metodo concezionale naturale ma semplice. Il tracciamento della temperatura basale è possibile anche senza l’app, ma questa facilita il procedimento di molto e non si deve più calcolare in autonomia in quale fase del ciclo si è. Unica pecca: alla sottoscrizione dell’abbonamento annuale parte anche l’ordine per il termometro, ma ci mette molto tempo ad arrivare. Senza il termometro però l’app non è utilizzabile. Sarebbe una buona cosa se l’app rimanesse in “pausa” l’abbonamento fino quando non arriva la spedizione per poi poter usufruire dei 12 mesi pieni appena si conferma la ricezione.

The algorithm is amazing and it predicts well what my body does. But the app is so slow! It takes a long time to carry each page and to respond to each command.

I’m really disappointed with the result of using this app. I selected this service because I trusted the website, that if you follow every passage there is a very small possibility to remain pregnant. I carefully measured my temperature every morning, followed only the green days. I started to use the app on august. It is now April and I’m pregnant. There is a reason why I started using the app and I woke up every morning to measure my temperature: I didn’t want to be pregnant. I’m pregnant now and I have to stress my mind, my body and all my energies to find a way to abort. I’m really disappointed and angry. I don’t want to continue to use this system, It really ruined my month.

I updated the app but in this version the section "My Cycle" gives less information than the previous one. Indeed I find it was much more user-friendly before and all the data were clearly displayed. They also removed the comparison of personal data with average data and the percentage of green days, which were both very useful to better understand the functioning of users' own body and cycle. If I could, I would downgrade to the previous version without hesitation.

The app worked for about 6 months on my phone but it then stopped opening, and I was left with six months of the yearly prepaid plan being unable to use the app on my phone, which is the only practical way in which to use it (using it from a computer is far less convenient and probable). Very disappointing and the NC customer services didn't resolve this problem or offer a refund. The payment was set to be auto-renewable through iTunes and this is difficult to change too.

You learn a lot about how your body works and you have constant assistance from the staff. It is easy to understand how to use it and soon it becomes an habit. I think it is a very good natural alternative to not-natural contraceptive! The payment for the annual plan was easy and the thermometer arrived in Italy about one week later. Now it's 3 months I use it and I'm really satisfied!
