Obsidian - Connected Notes

After creating a local vault and trying to open it, the app crashes and says "Can't find variable IndexedDB". So unfortunately the app is useless. Tries reinstalling etc. Latest IOS to date, running in lockdown mode

The typing experience is not great in this app. In all other apps the latency from key press to character on screen is acceptable but in obsidian there’s a noticeable latency, especially when pressing return. It’s in the hundreds of milliseconds longer than in other apps.

Can't connect to my OneDrive-vault

I love obsidian but after the recent big update I barely understand how to use it. I cant even find search and my library is big. It’s too clean so it makes it hard to use.

Så länge de inte löser en kompetent webbklippare så kan det aldrig bli en fullvärdig ersättare för Evernote. Men löser de det är det en femma!

The only thing preventing me from giving it a 5 ⭐️ is a Lock Screen widget to quickly open the daily notes.

Today you can only sync with their own sync service and iCloud storage. Not Dropbox, Google Drive, Onedrive or local folder.

The Obsidian desktop app is highly recommended – I give it 5 stars of 5. Unfortunately, the mobile app seems to be launched prematurely. (My guess is, they figured they needed a mobile app to win people over in the increasingly competitive market of note taking software) Some of the issues: - The UI is not designed for mobile, it’s a copy of the desktop application. (This might be fixable through themes and/or plugins, but as Obsidian will sync those settings with the desktop application you would have the reverse problem on desktop instead) - The app will frequently become unresponsive or draw massive power. In fact so often I can rarely use it - Mobile is a second-class citizen. This is reflected in the forums, in features (not any mobile specific features that I’m aware of), release notes (which are literally just “see desktop”) etc. The effort is simply not there to make it an enjoyable mobile experience.

Simply amazing.

Obsidian er en game-changer når det gælder noteprogram. Ekstremt fleksibelt program sammenlagt med et stort community, en lang række temaer og plugins og ikke mindst et developer-team som hele tiden arbejder på at optimere programmet.
