Obsidian - Connected Notes

This is the best note app over the world

It doesn‘t even start up… it just shows the logo and then it stays black.

I have Obsidian setup with GitHub on my desktop and laptop. On iOS this is not possible. How incredibly useless.

If I want to take notes on the smartphone, it must be fast above all. With obsidian it always takes a few minutes until the app is loaded. I recommend to use another app for markdown files

Very sad, i can‘t use it on my ipad air…. I can not create vaults because obsidian is disabled for icloud :(

We are facing such an information overload, this app can help you to make sense of it and transform it into knowledge. There is a learning curve (check YouTube videos) but the effort is worth it. The plugin system makes it extremely versatile and scalable. Take it step by step and don’t give up. Sync is possible in a variety of ways (paid and free) that guarantee privacy. Files are stored in plaintext, which means that you don’t have to worry about your data stored in a proprietary data format depending on a company that might not be there 10 years down the line, so future proof as well.

Considering it’s all just text files and folders, I don’t understand the bizarre way syncing is setup : only icloud drive is available and there is no way to change it after the fact. Why can’t I just open a folder from the File app? That way I could use any service configured in the File app, have several vaults and sync with devices that don’t support iCloud
