Great concept

Sadly the game times out a lot without the player being aware. It looks like you’re waiting for the opponent when in fact you got DCd and therefore forfeit the match so you lost points that you needed to earn better cards. This in turn creates the need to spend money to get the cards you can’t get through play, which turns the game into strictly pay to win. When on the second turn the other player has 4 Pokémon with 300+ hp and throwing out 250+ dmg each something is wrong. Loved it in the beginning.

Favorite game app!

This is super addicting and way easier to play TCG via the app than in person because it keeps track of all the rules for you. I love that you can redeem cards from real life packs. It can be glitchy infrequently but honestly with how much is packed into this app, I’m impressed with how rarely it glitches.

This is the most fun I’ve had playing a game in a long time

Not happy I lost all my cards from the original tcg

So I was playing the other version where I invested time all my code cards and even purchased some code cards… as I updated to this version I lost all of that.. I been playing since 2015 and now I lost all my cards time and money I previously invested… maybe they come out with a new version in a few years and do the same thing… not worth it not worth my time..

Fun

Impressive simulation of the actual card game. I wish there was an “undo” feature for certain moves that would not create an unfair advantage in the game. For example accidentally applying a tool to the wrong Pokemon or starting to use an item you didn’t intend to; moves where no advantage is gained by making and undoing the mistake. Perhaps this could be done within a certain time constraint of a few seconds?

Idk why

But even if your deck is better the game will make sure you don’t ever get cards to give the other person a chance, even pros can’t win lol

My thoughts

If I’m being honest, it’s really fun. It’s just the fact that the game has gotten easier over the years and I mean I like that factor for new players. It’s just for players that’s been around for a long time. It’s not really ideal. Otherwise it’s great for testing out decks and experimenting and just having fun. Thank you.

Great Game!

I love this game! It simulates the real life Trading card game experience perfectly! It is a bit buggy occasionally and there are definitely a a few suggestions i would have to make it even better! I have already maxed out the ladder and I think it would be interesting if there were a tournament mode like there is in the computer version. Also, a few more emoticons would be nice. Like the Laugh reaction and good Game reaction would be cool. But mostly another game mode would be really awesome i think. Maybe kinda like it is in real Pokémon challenges and tournaments would be really cool. But other than that it’s great!

Years gone

So the company made the switch about a year ago to this platform from their other tcg application. I had followed the instructions and had the implication that I would be compensated in the game by gold or rewards of the sorts for the years worth of cards saved up…. I had older packs on there from hg ss era, some collector tins that weren’t opened and a huge collection of coins and limited clothing items…. And limited sleeves and just game accessories that I just fell in love with. Those small but goal accomplished things made me happy as a player. What did I get when I moved over? Effectively nothing. And no access to my older account as the “data” moved over to apps. It’s possible I completely misunderstood something, but was it user error or just not elaborated clearly on the company’s end? Seriously sad to have lost the years worth of play, and a good hundreds worth of codes used on the old platform… I feel robbed and cheated. Don’t get me wrong, I happily joined into tcg pocket, but I’m treading lightly on any game purchases… and codes for irl card packs just seem useless and lifeless to me so much more than they used to. I don’t even want to get invested in this app anymore because I can guarantee with the success of pocket right now, they’ll be adding in a niantic/pokemon online connect and will be sunsetting this app in about a year or two. I would be stunned if it doesn’t merge or something further down the road.
