Very slow
Please fix this, this app is very slow on iOS. Like very slow. It takes 30 seconds to load up the calendar and notes. And, when I type something, the text just goes away and loads back after 20, 30 secs after.
Ja, Routine ist komplett kostenlos und enthält keine In-App-Käufe oder Abonnements.

This was the fastest I’ve ever uninstalled an app. Cannot even use the app because it forces you to log in with a Google account… on iOS and macOS. That is ridiculous (and against Apple’s rules). In decades of creating accounts for things, never have I known such an illogical, invasive and unnecessary login barrier. I don’t use Google. Even if I did, I always use iCloud+ Hide My Email for new websites/apps, because you do NOT need to track me around the internet, build profiles and benefit from my data. Was really looking forward to this and was excited to use it after getting my invite on the waiting list. Why do so many people these days build something great and then ruin it with greed?! Ahhhh. Sad and disappointing. Guess I’ll spend my money on getting the macOS version of Things 3 then. Was waiting to see whether I’d switch to Routine, but guess not. What a shame you resorted to greed and ruined what could have been a great app.
Yes it’s early days, yes there are bugs, yes there are things still in development but despite that it’s simple and beautiful. Rome was not built in a day. It is now September 2023 at this stage may be just experiment with it and watch, give feed back and contribute to its growth. Minimal stylish and importantly improving every day share you bug reports on Dicord, join in help them develop the crew are responsive. Rather than expect perfection out of the box get involved and help this beautiful product grow As for comments about privacy why not actually read the privacy policy before creating misinformation. No they do not sell your data I have no affiliation with this product or team
They stopped short of asking to watch me in the Shower! Seriously, though: the level of ‘privacy invasion’ is “shocking!”. How’s this allowed? I trust massively when it comes to privacy & security. I don’t know how this got past the team. A very promising app that sadly, will go nowhere whilst operating like this. The only conclusion one can arrive at is people selling your data! Shocker!
Such a good concept, feels like it could be a one stop place for organisations with calendar, to do list and notes all in one. But it’s just soo laggy and slow and for some reason when my internet connection is intermittent it doesnt load at all, it either wants to be online or offline.
I don’t trust this app with all the permissions and access it wants from me. On paper it was just the right app for me and I waited ages in their queue to get access. What a disappointment after all that time! I can’t continue with it and will now be looking for another app to use instead.
no app ever asked for nearly as many permissions to my personal details it made me feel so uncomfortable i decided to not even give it a try even though the app sounds super promising. shame :(
Asking for way too much of your personal info. Unnecessary
Why does this app take 10 minutes to load and turn on? Worst iPhone experience ever. The desktop experience isn’t perfect but is miles better. And are we ever going to get an iPad version?
I’m neurodivergent and in a PhD program so I regularly swing between hyperfocus/ needing to catch a random thought*/ hyper organized/unorganized. I have tried probably 10 personal knowledge management, calendar, or list apps - even paying for the premium in some - and none worked for my brain the way routine does (TickTick, timo, notion, click up, asan, Monday.com, etc). I do use it in combo with obsidian (main note-taking app on my computer), google calendar (was my main calendar, now use it to view on my ios b/c I prefer the month view widget), and outlook to-do (for phone checklists like groceries). Though this sounds chaotic, it’s better than it was and routine has filled a sweet spot for managing my work tasks, personal to-dos ✔️There’s a calendar ✔️There’s to-dos. ✔️There’s notes. (That use mark down, making them way more functional than any other hybrid app I’ve used that tries to add notes) ✔️ Easy to add your to-do items to your calendar (drag and drop feature is superior compared to other apps that do this, but I think that’s primarily on the computer) ✔️perfect for time blocking ✔️✔️✔️ capturing a random thought without stopping what you’re doing (on computer) *see star above I think it was developed as a computer app first, and most of the best features are there. For me, that’s okay because that’s where I do most of my work. I primarily use routine to organize my work to-dos, personal to-dos, time blocking, etc. which is what was missing from my previous work flow. I landed on a combo of google cal (my previous main calendar, and I prefer the month view widget on my phone), obsidian (main note-taking on my computer, but could be replaced by routine soon with some upcoming features they’re adding to the notes), and outlook to-do (for phone checklists like groceries). This sounds chaotic, but if you’re like me and already use a combo of apps for organization but they’re not totally meeting your needs, routine might fill the gaps as it did for me. The most important features for me (that makes it superior) are: the ease of dragging/dropping to-dos from lists to your calendar Superior computer app Intuitive, simple, and intuitive combined view of to-dos and calendar (obsessed with how there’s a to-do box under each day on the week view where your to-dos for thy day live even if they don’t have a specific time - feels like something I missed from paper calendars that I haven’t seen in online options) THE DASHBOARD!! hands down the best
