Terrible app for my iPad, when loading a story 50% of the time the screen flashes repeatedly and can only be returned to normal by closing the app. Sent feedback and provided all the info that the “Stuffed” IT person required but that was weeks ago, no reply, no resolution. Poor customer support. DELETE……..

The app is now clogged with invasive ads and pop ups. It’s a comparable experience to a low quality tabloid site, not what I expect from NZ’s premier news outlet.

New update is absolutely terrible to navigate and makes it almost impossible to find real news. Not surprising from a ‘news’ app that has become the online equivalent of the Project.

I am using the app on an iPhone XR and I have to say this is by far the worst performing app I have ever seen on an iPhone. There was a major revamp of the app maybe 9 months ago and since then things have gone downhill and stayed there. The app frequently locks up / hangs, videos play for 2-3 seconds and then stop and I have to hit the play button, videos can’t be viewed full screen in landscape mode, sometimes the entire app resizes to extra large and I can’t downsize it and have to navigate backward to get it to reset its zoom, the in-app ads pop up frequently, I am periodically taken back to the home page, where do I stop? And I donate $10 per month for this? New Zealand needs you to do a much better job to ensure there are more than one honest online news outlet in the country. Right now you are letting people down.

It’s genuinely unusable on my phone. Constantly restarts, swiping back takes you to another story not the menu. The first page and menu take an age to load. The embedded ads in the stories refresh whilst reading which moves the page up or down. I’ve deleted it from my phone, hopefully a proper developer sorts it soon as I did enjoy reading the NZ news.

I find this app to be very glitchy. Most videos keep pausing during play (a 1 minute video can be a frustrating watch with a pause every 5 seconds!). Some articles load from a browser causing a distributive experience. The swipe feature is very sensitive. Could be a lot better.

The political bias lets the site down, and most articles have no way to respond. Annoying

Since they have done an update the app is very glitchy and navigation feels slower and more stressful. Even the banners now rotate very fast and makes it feel like it’s constantly loading instead of pre loading like other some other news apps.

I use to enjoy reading Stuff from the app. Since you changed the layout its progressively becoming more glitchy, less user friendly and you cant even make comments anymore. For the last week when we click on a story only half of its there. You know the old saying, its its not broken…..yeah it wasnt broken, now it is.
