Great but flawed
The game is optimized for touchscreens, but that’s about it. As someone who loves Tropico and has hundreds of hours in 4, 5, and 6 on pc, I just can’t play it on my iPad. First off, it doesn’t work with mice or touchpads. Not even some emulation. The game just crashes if you happen to have a combo keyboard connected… support said they don’t support mice, since the game is optimized for touch, but come on… at least don’t crash. Second, it’s quite poorly optimized. The performance is good, but it just burns the battery at the maximum pace it can on the M1 iPad Air, no idea how to change that. Yet, battery saver is on, and the game now lags and burns battery.
