UpToDate

The design and UX does not live to the expectations at all. We expect UpToDate to be a top notch source and scientifically, it is. But the app's design is very bad and so not UpToDate with any of the current design langaues and it's not as smooth as it should be. We expect this app to be UpToDate.

App is barely usable at present, sends the user in a loop with the app saying update required —> App Store saying no update available. Of note, other than initiating this loop every couple clicks, the app otherwise works fine, so it does not appear that an update is actually required for functionality.

Uptodate sells “desktop” access as a $39.50 add-on. The program looks like it was created for windows 3.1, can’t update its database, and the uninstaller doesn’t work. I like uptodate articles for overviews of conditions i may not have seen in a while, but the desktop version feels like a scam.

When using mobile data, app works flawlessly, I can access content, download offline data, etc. But in my home WiFi network it doesn’t work at all (only offline content), always showing error -1200. This is an error I’ve read in other comments and in forums in Reddit, it’s an error UpToDate has to fix!! As a dermatologist, I heavily depend on this app for my day to day practice, diagnosis, treatment and general knowledge. And I’ve also noticed it works just fine on the SAME WiFi network in an Android phone, so this server error -1200 it’s an iOS error, related to some WiFi networks

After practicing Hospitalst medicine for a little over 10 years now I can honestly say that up-to-date has been getting more and more useless. You can literally fit what is needed on one page consisting of presentation, diagnosis, and treatment. But all up-to-date gives you is a ton of nonsense. Very expensive and overpriced.

The most recent update made the app unusable. As soon as you seach for anything and click on the article, the app freezes

An app that used to work perfectly no longer functions properly. I've attempted deleting the app, erasing its content, and everything in between, but it consistently returns the error: "Failed to connect to server -1200." Even after reinstalling the app, the same error persists. So, I tried using my cellular network, and it functions flawlessly. I had to download all the offline data via cellular. I suspect the issue is related to an authentication problem on certain networks. It operates seamlessly on many WiFi networks, but encounters issues on some of them. Off note that there are no errors at all on Android, even when using the same WiFi network that causes the error on the iPhone. I heavily rely on this app! Please, address this frustrating issue.

I can even use the app because whenever i search a topic the app freezes, i tried uninstalling and installing the app but the same thing keeps happening
