Cannot change initial settings anymore!
I really enjoyed using the app because I love that you can literally choose to learn ONE word per day. Unfortunately the setting “amount of words” was only asked one time as I set up my profile in the beginning and cannot be changed afterwards anymore ?!
Unluckily my settings somehow reseted or changed when I started using another phone thus I “learn” a couple of words per day instead of one now. This doesn’t really work for me and I feel like paying for something that has no value for me anymore. I hope I will hear back from your support team regarding this soon.
On another note I thought it would be great if it was possible to choose an certain area or type of words that one would like to improve such as (emotions, verbs, work context, politics, ..).
Ganz schick
Allgemein ist die App ganz schickt. Besonders die Bilder sind sehr gut. Es wäre zwar schön, wenn man die Texte kopieren könnte, sodass man sie leichter übersetzen lassen könnte, aber gut.
No illustration anymore
Where are all the illustration?
Meh
On point UX wise. But not at all valuable. You’ll get to know a bunch of words you probably shouldn’t even use in your writing. Unless you don’t want your readers to understand you. If you even remember any of the words you came across. The app buys you a list of words that’s drip-fed to you over weeks.
Things that might make the app more valuable: Help discover forceful verbs for lame adverbs. Give me a bunch of synonyms for a common used adjective. Show me replacements for complex words.
Keine Deutsche Übersetzung!
Ein Vokabeltrainer ohne Deutsche Übersetzung ist schon merkwürdig. Es ist ja gut und sinnvoll, dass die Begriffe auf englisch erklärt werden. Dennoch sollte es zusätzlich unbedingt eine Deutsche Übersetzung geben!!!
Fun!
Great app to broaden your vocabulary. The new illustrations are extremely helpful! What a great idea!!!
Enttäuschend. !Nicht empfehlenswert
30€ zum Fenster rausgeworfen. Völlig unbrauchbar zum lernen!
Diese App ist grausam und hilft nicht weiter
Einen Stern muss man ja geben, selbst der ist Zuviel
Intrusive Ads
I just deleted this app having used it for a year or two. The video ads are loud, long and too intrusive hindering my ability to enjoy learning a new word. You would have to sit through 30seconds of video advertising (not skipable) before reading each word. Therefore you are subjected to longer time with the add then you are reading the word of the day! Disappointing.
