ZappTax — Shop Tax Free

Great app, responsive team but no refund after 106 days. Claiming issues with French tax agencies, Fine. But you’re taking 15% commission, you should be able to finance the wait with loans like any professional business would.

These guys have a liquidity issue. Their promise of payment within 24 hours of customs validation is false. Beware.

I made some shopping whilst in France and left on 18th April. 3 weeks later and still no reimbursement. When messaging Zapptax about it they replied that there was a delay because of tax authorities. I wish they could have communicated better to advise me and give me an expected date of reimbursement. Not sure now how reliable this system is.

Very easy to use. Excellent support and questions answered quickly. Money was in my bank account within a day of refund being validated.

The team behind the app is excellent, and the service meets all expectations: low fees, clear process, VAT refund paid on export of goods ordered from any retailer (including deliveries of online orders) with no requirement to hit the EUR 100 threshold in individual orders, cash received within days of travelling. The app is good (but it might be even better if it was an iPad app too).

Not ideal if you a a high-end luxury shopper.

Apart from the fact that ZappTax offers a better refund rate than the traditional tax free solutions, I was able to get tax rebate on my shopping with smaller boutiques. I got my refund within 2 weeks for my first transaction and then a little more than a month for my next one due to the summer holidays. Highly recommended to those who are visiting France to use it.

Vraiment super déçu de la communication. C’était une des applications les plus compétitives du marché. 3-4 mois pour un remboursement, des mensonges et une mauvaise foi. Préférez SkipTax qui est bien plus compétitive.

Préférez Savin' Tax Free dont la commission et les délais de paiement sont beaucoup plus compétitifs.
