Arro - Taxi App

Tried loading a payment profile. Allows for different countries but still demand a state when there is not even a field for this! Then tried loading a US card, still no luck. If this is an app by New Yorkers for New Yorkers then change it and make it explicit so other people don't waste time. Learn from Uber if you are new to the UX game.

Have tried about five times to use this app – when you search for cabs they appear all around you, but I keep getting error messages when I try to book one. When I did use it inside a cab to pay the bill the cabdriver wouldn’t accept the payment and so I had to pay cash on top of being charged by arrow. Don’t download this app!

App requires me to update billing address, but bugs in the app mean I can't complete the action. Will be using Lyft/Uber instead.

Should be zero stars. The app doesn’t timely send verification codes for password resets. The Facebook login doesn’t work because Facebook indicates it isn’t correctly set up for that. Payment is clunky if you manage to get in the app. It isn’t worth using the app - easier to use your iPhone wallet or credit card directly in the cab. If the cab offers the CURB app, use it instead.

If I could give a -1 rating for this app I would. Even though I downloaded the app and successfully signed up, and paired my ride (as the display in the back of the cab - displayed that my name) - when we arrived at the hotel the driver said that there was no record - even though I showed him my phone that the app said that the ride was in progress. I ended up paying cash - and then when I checked 10 minutes later at the hotel - I saw that I was charged in the app. I wish I had read the reviews of the app first - as this same thing happened to somebody else. When performing the option to dispute the charge in the app - I was able to fill out an email with the details. The response that I got back was that they are a payment processor only - and gave me the contact info of the Taxicab company - and essentially denied responsibility. Save yourself drama and pay cash and avoid this app.

This is a very clunky app. It took a good eight minutes to setup while in the cab, only to find the driver had disabled the pairing screen, presumably to push customers to pay in cash.

What is even the point of this app? I tried repeatedly to pair with the taxi I was in from O’Hare, and all it gave me was an error message. Why would I even use this app as opposed to just paying with my credit card via the in-car card reader?

I don’t like apps (and won’t use them if I can help it) if I can’t easily delete my account, especially if it has charge card data. I’m trying to delete ARRO..

Their login doesn’t work and neither does the contact form on their website! Totally useless

This app doesn’t adapt to how one rides a cab. It is not intuitive and doesn’t simple options like: checkin and checkout. Poorly conceived although with minor changes could improve dramatically. Also, it doesn’t keep a list of preferred destinations. PD Mar 2024 update: I am cancelling my account because drivers don’t want me this app AFTER I have already paired AND can’t cancel the trip AND there is no live support.
