Don’t fall for it.

Please read all of this! My message to Brightside. FYI I had a tumor removed from my brain in may. The recovery went really wrong, every second I was awake I had to deal with extreme tinnitus and severe migraines all day and night, because you can’t fall asleep like that. Brightside was aware I was working on getting the tumor removed. In the middle of this, Brightside blocked me from making appointments with my therapist and they removed the medical part of the plan, meaning I couldn’t fill my prescriptions. What I said to Brightside: FYI I was in and out of ER’s and was admitted for 3 days. I have had massive migraines all day everyday starting in may, about the time the removed the tumor (they got 80%) and I need radiation therapy. The ringing and migraines were so bad I had no choice but to go t o the er 7 time in a month. That’s why I missed appointments. I think Brightside needs to know that before they start bashing patients they should at least be informed.

My first psychiatrist was rude. Second psychiatrist, is rude. My therapist quit in the first two weeks. She was also fairly rude the first two appointments. I get my meds filled and that’s great. But everything else is literally awful.

I can not even begin to explain. Brightside employees told me i could not cancel when I asked, and to just show up and let the therapist know I don’t need the appt. to avoid the cancellation fee. When I showed up I waited in the lobby for 10 minutes and I received a text stating I missed the appointment and i would get the fee! The one thing I was trying to avoid and I followed their instructions!! Keep in mind i didn’t need this second appointment due to the fact I realized they could not provide the services I needed. Yet, they make you schedule 2 appointments when you first sign up regardless, and guess what?! You can’t cancel even if you realize it’s not for you after the first. Absolute disgrace and i will take action.

After 5 weeks in situational crisis, I still have not been able to meet with a therapist! I’ve been stood up by therapist, and voicemails and helpline messages not returned.

So I was mostly satisfied with Brightside until they suddenly changed my provider without notifying me or giving me the option with who I would like to see. Now I understand if my provider got fired or quit or whatever that I need to change but they definitely should give you that option to select a new one who works with your schedule. The provider I was assigned was only available during the evening on Wednesdays which is unfortunate since I work 4-12 on weekdays. This is further compounded by the fact that I was charged a 50 dollar service change for “ switching providers” when they switched me and would then be charged a further 50 dollars when switching again from the provider that they assigned me that I no longer wanted. When I went in to cancel my services there are several screens that you have to click through that pressure you to stay with Brightside. This is a terrible business practice for dealing with people who have mental health issues and I hope that I have saved someone a little stress and inconvenience

Support isn’t a real person, gives the same answer everytime which does not work. I need a therapist. I do not want the one this app assigned me. I want one with my availability and no one here will help me. I’ve message support 3 times. I’m trying one more time then I’m canceling my plan and going elsewhere because this is ridiculous. I have been trying since May to get a new therapist. My mom died in May. I could really use someone to talk to but this app is useless to me now.

Everyone is very professional and courteous! Judy is very knowledgeable about knowing which medicine is suitable for me! I can’t ask for a better service!

I was happy to find a next week appointment. But it was too good to be true. I waited half an hour on the call and the provider never showed up. Such a scam.

The providers do not care about you as a patient. Would not recommend, do not waste your money here.
