Can I rent more than one bike at once?
Yes, you can rent up to 5 bikes at once! Just make sure to select the correct number of vehicles right at the beginning of your booking process.
Can I leave the bike anywhere?
No. We work hard with the cities to keep the streets clean and accessible for everyone. Please return your Donkeys to specific drop-off locations when you are done for the day.
What if I have issues?
Our support team is always happy to help and understands that life happens.
HOW PRICING WORKS
Just Ride (Pay as you go)
With no strings attached. Just Ride is ideal for trips from 15 mins to a few hours. You can also top up your Donkey Wallet with money and we will give you bonus credit that you can use for Just Riding.
Day Deals
In some cities, we have rolled out day deals which are great for when you just need a bike for the 1,2,3, or up to 7 days. Visiting for a weekend or inspired to explore like a local when you're on vacation? This is the perfect solution for you or a guest visiting you.
Monthly memberships
With a Donkey membership, you pay a fixed monthly fee and get a certain amount of free time per day. If you exceed the included daily free time, your rental is extended for a low fixed cost. Ideal for the daily commute and for a busy city life with multiple errands throughout the day. Valid in all Donkey cities.

We are a team of 40(ish) firm believers in cycling as the most efficient mode of transportation and the only one our cities need. We work by the rule that any decision we make will have to bring us closer to being a sustainable, affordable, and reliable mobility provider. Cheaper than owning your own bike
When factoring in purchase price as well as repairs, Donkey bikes just makes so much more sense. If you can live with occasionally walking 2 minutes to the nearest Donkey Bike then it’ll save you the hassle of taking your own bike to the shop!

Great app, great support
Had my first ride recently. I very much like the concept, and found it easy to locate and unlock a bike. Quality of the specific bike was not perfect so that is why I am not at 5 stars. Support was very customer friendly and quick.
Broken app alerts
And Unfortunately, the bikes are often broken. Out of nowhere, I often get this really annoying pop-up message prompting me for Bluetooth access. I’m not using the application and have not used the application in quite a while so it doesn’t make sense that the application is prompting us to gain access to Bluetooth. The message looks like this in Danish. “ "Donkey Republic" vil bruge Bluetooth til nye forbindelser Du kan tillade nye forbindelser i Indstillinger. “
Bikes
The bikes can’t be dropped off near my location (which is not far from the centre, but far enough apparently), therefore they are useless, unless you live in the centre of the city
Lock didnt work so fee keeps increasing.
Haven’t heard from support in 2 days
Wait wait naaah i just walk
Setting up payment and all kinds off funny payments possibilities.. tried Appel Pay and it just went on and on with an error.. Ps an QR CODE ON THE BIKE for an link to the app…. heureka it’s like totally new thinking 🤪
