For the most part the app is very good. Lots of options and responsive. But occasionally it forgets which appliances I have. The first time it happened I thought I would have to re-add in all the appliances but I force quit the app and relaunched it and it remembered the appliances. Not everyone might know to force quit.

Bosch dishwasher won’t stay connected. Constantly have to reset the appliance. Instructions and support are useless.

Loses connection with appliances or logs you out. Have to kill and restart the app.

There’s no reason to require such an invasive setup procedure. Why do I have to give Bosch my email address to turn on my dishwasher? That’s an overreach they have no right to. Many features of the dishwasher can’t be used without the app. Setup is also very tricky and the provided instructions don’t work. I followed every instruction Bosch provided and it would simply never connect. I googled for real advice and found a laundry list of technical support suggestions on Reddit. After forcing the dishwasher to do a hard reset, logging into my slower 2.4 gigahertz WiFi network on my phone, rebooting the router, and figuring out that the door to the dishwasher must be closed to connect, I finally got it to connect. It took about 45 minutes of screwing around after the $200 installation was complete. So now I can use the cleaning cycle. Overall, I resent the unnecessary invasion of privacy and the app was quite difficult to set up, but for the moment, it’s working as it’s supposed to.

I thought the wifi on my appliance was faulty on the first day because I couldn’t get a reliable connection, but after that first day it’s been rock solid. I find the physical dishwasher controls awkward because they’re hidden under the countertop, but you can control everything through the app, and it notifies me when the cycle is finished. I suppose I could start the dishwasher while I’m away, but I don’t see that being useful too frequently

Not user friendly compared to other appliances. Still trying to figure out how to program the dishwasher every night due multiple “do this first” steps. For the price of a Bosch I would expect the simplicity of one or two clicks like my LG downstairs

App crashes whenever I try to install it!

This app never works. It promised to let me connect the washer to the app and it never worked. I doubt that this company doesn’t know about this issue for a year. Seriously, fix your bug!

I couldn’t be more disappointed in my purchase. I read reviews, but I guess they were all from last year’s model. My only hope is that Bosch figures out how to use the “my schedule” function in a way that allows you to preprogram everything in advance to run at a certain time every day. Opening the unintuitive/over complicated app every time is frustrating. I just assumed delayed start would be a basic button function. :( —- Update in response to developer communication: Why do I have to hit start on the app to have it run on “my schedule”? Why can’t that communicate with the dishwasher itself so I can leave the schedule set but start it with the button on the dishwasher? If I can start it from my phone, it should be able to auto-start from my phone… I hate having to get out my phone every time I want to start the dishwasher on a delay…
