Kanopy

I don’t really understand why this app can be downloaded from Russian AppStore even though there are NO available public libraries or universities to log up in Russia. Pretty weird approach

I tried logging in about 5 times, and it’s stuck on the page ‘contacting Kanopy’.

A treasure trove of knowledge. Would appreciate support for keyboard shortcuts on ipad such as spacebar to pause, arrows for moving forwards and backwards in the clip. Other than that, no complaints.

A lot of interesting stuff!!

iPad Pro 12” - when films are full-screened, you can still see the top bar with date and time / battery showing etc. Under the films’ ‘details’ tab you can’t click on cast/crew names to see what else of theirs you have on the platform. You def can on the desktop website so if you can add that feature here, amazing. Kanopy is great! the app just needs a few bugs ironed out. Thank you!

Kanopy is great but I find myself somewhat frustrated by the interface. Firstly the bar at the top showing the date time and battery is always present above a film which can occasionally glare out in darker black and white screening, so could this please be changed. Also with certain aspect ratios, films will sit in the middle of the screen with large unnecessary black borders. I pinch the screen to zoom it in like on MUBI but alas it remains very small. This is for example the case for The Wages of Fear. I hope adjustments can be made, thank you.

Won’t let me type to find my library or university. So I cannot access the films I need to for my course. Had to find films on another website. Won’t use app again.
