Kevo

We’ve had Kēvo on our front door for about a year. In that time only some of us can use it and I still carry a key. It Durante really do what it says on the tin and you can’t leave the food on the snip without a lot of beeping and batteries running down. It’s a shame as we have a lovely old door and the lock looks great but isn’t much use.

I was about to check in to my Airbnb using Kevo. Accepted key, dis everything as instructed, but this piece of art simply didn’t work. After travelling ~17 hours and not sleeping for 22, I was sitting on the floor in front of my Airbnb until the host could come with a physical key to let me in. Thanks Kevo. We tested it together, it sometimes works for her (intermittently), never works for me.

I have the first model, with Kēvo Plus as well. I have to hold my phone next to the lock for it to work, the range is terrible. Yes, I’ve checked the internal cable multiple times. Every three to four times I use the lock I have to open the app and re-establish the connection for it to work... The app tells me the Kēvo is unlocked when it’s not. It’s nice, but it just doesn’t work that well :(

I suspect the low ratings are old reviews and not relevant with the updated app. This works like a dream for me. Touch to open is great when carrying things rather than having to search for keys. Can still give my mother an old fashioned key so she feels comfortable! The best bit however is being able to send temporary eKeys to service engineers to let them in. I can also see history of who and what time lock is used. I combine it with the Ring doorbell so I can see who is there. It looks slick is a deadbolt so safer than just a latch. All in all it is a brilliant bit of kit that worked for me straight out of the box. Only gripe is I am in the UK so would like to have extra functionality from the Kēvo plus (not yet for sale in UK)

Resident in U.K. And bought this while on holiday paid extra for upgrade box for Internet. Not bad but could be quicker. App need to be open on screen to work so annoying having to open app to get in or lock up. May be cos we have older version but it's NOT for sale in U.K. Yet

In the last 24 hours, this app has accounted for 25% of my battery usage. I play battery-hungry games, so that is saying a lot.

This is using up a large percentage of my battery life.

Kevo has changed my life! I haven't used a metal key for 3 months now, and it couldn't be easier to use. I have 2 properties and having Kevo on each makes getting in and out, and letting visitors in so much easier

Brilliant new level of security :-)

This lick has already saved my bacon a few times. Being able to email a key to friends while I'm out or to servicemen has been brilliant. It works!
