Mochi - Flashcards and notes

I stumbled upon this gem earlier today and it took me less than 10 minutes to decide I would never ever go back to using Anki. Mochi’s interface is super user-friendly and very intuitive! I had gotten to a point where I wanted to use flashcards to study new vocabulary but I just hated doing my Anki review because of how ugly the app design this. Mochi does everything I’ve ever wanted a flashcards app to do ! If you’re learning japanese, I’m sure you’ll love built-in furigana option as much as I do. This app is a truly hidden gem, I did not even hesitate to pay the Pro subscription, it’s totally worth it. Thanks for making this amazing app !!!

J'apprécie que l’app ne collecte pas de données, qu’elle soit gratuite, simple et performante. Je mettrais 5 étoiles lorsque qu’il sera possible d’activer des notifications lorsque des cartes sont à réviser.

I was looking for an customizable flashcards app and Mochi is the ONLY that allows me to create different flashcards templates, and be able to choose custom color and font-size with markdown and css. I don’t understand why there are so few video and ressources about it. Also the interface is really nice.

J’ai utilisé plusieurs années Anki, qui est un très bon logiciel, mais qui correspondait mal à certains de mes besoins. - la version en ligne est pleinement fonctionnelle contrairement à Anki, ce qui est pratique car l’installation d’applications est limitée sur mon lieu de travail - la version iOS est utilisable aussi comme une base de données perso, alors qu’il est très difficile de retrouver une carte précise sur Anki mobile, - la création de nouvelles cartes est très rapide sur tous les supports, plus que sur Anki, les cloze deletions sont plus pratiques de même que les occlusions d’image. - il est plus pratique de réviser des cartes précises (par tag ou sous-deck) sur Mochi. Anki a des decks temporaires mais c’est abscond et chronophage. Je ne perçois pas de manque par rapport à Anki. Il n’y a pas de plugins mais je peux vivre sans mettre de photo de fond sous mes flashcards…

Great idea, I’ve been looking for this type of app for such a long time. Quite easy to use, I like the clean interface with no “noise”. Suggestion: it would be great to build a community with the ability to create public deck, and of course to search for them. Also, the dashboard view is useful but “ok”: I would appreciate some more work on the Ui. Thanks a lot for the creator, you’re doing great work! Cheers from France.

I don’t like Anki. I know that people swear by it, but the terrible UI makes it unusable to me. I’ve tried multiple Anki alternatives, but none of them had functioning spaced repetition. All I wanted was for an app to tell me I have a set number of cards due for review, and this is it and more! This app perfectly balances a pleasant UI with user customization. I love being able to hide text so I can make cards for verb conjugations. None of the other alternatives I tried allowed that. The best part is that it’s free! Please allow us to donate within the app, because I would love to give you money <3

Very easy to use, simple and clean interface.

Please add the option to have Anki-style answer types (again, easy, hard and good) and the option to change the interval steps. I know that mochi is using Anki style spaced repetition algorithm in the background but the aesthetic of those four buttons is the only thing that many of us are used to rather than just a check and an x. Please add this option.
