The app may charge your account without acknowledging the order
I was at the store at Nandos Rouse Hill and placed an order using the Nandos app and selected PayPal as the payment method. PayPal confirmed payment but the nandos app did not recognise it. I spoke to the store manager and she advised their system did not receive the order and asked me to try again. I tried again in front of her and PayPal charged my account a second time but again the app and the store system did not receive the order. The store manager then advised me that as the store did not receive the order and will not pick up the payment from PayPal, I’ll get my money back from PayPal. I then placed the order without the app using my bank card. However two days later both unsuccessful purchases was charged to my bank account by PayPal. I tried calling Nandos customer service many times which I don’t think actually exists. Every time I was told there’s a 3 minutes wait by an automated voice and after 7 minutes of waiting the call gets disconnected saying no agents are available.
