OkCupid: Online Dating App

This app has so many error codes, it’s a stretch if they charged half of what they do. More expensive than their competitor’s, half the app. Oh and after paying £29, you still can’t see who likes you. Feeling ripped off. Ethnicities and languages could use more detail/options. This isn’t as good as I remember it being unfortunately.

The developers ought to be fired for incompetence and destroying what was once a wonderful dating app. Unfortunately now, it’s just a buggy mess. You get false push notifications. You see old messages reappear as if they’re new. You cannot reject an intro. You have to block or match and then unmatch. You can no longer see who you’ve left an intro for. The app regularly signs you out for no reason and sometimes doesn’t load at all. There are many authentication errors. The filters do absolutely nothing. There are many many more. I sent all of these issues to support months ago and nothing has changed. I completely blame Match Group for this. They go around buying up all of the dating apps and then destroying everything about them. A despicable company.

I have used OKC on and off for a few years and it’s quite clearly the worst of the big dating apps. The app itself is horrendously buggy and always has been. Matches will disappear and reappear, the order of your matches/convos will swap around. Even today, I was having a convo and the other person’s messages from yesterday started appearing mixed in with their messages from today. I have a stack of ‘introduction’ messages waiting for me but can’t access them because the top intro has bugged out and is showing an error, and there’s no way to swipe away or clear that intro. This is the only dating app where I get hounded by women in foreign countries (Indonesia/Phillipines mainly) who have changed their location and there’s no option to prevent this. More subjective, but the people on here tend to be either alt or very socially awkward, a lot of women with hundreds of words worth of bio but poor convo. I am a bit nerdy and left leaning (as are a lot of the ppl on it) but have only ever met up with 2 people from here in years of use, whereas Tinder/Bumble/Hinge I frequently find people to go on dates with. To top it all off it’s the most expensive of the apps for paid features whilst being the worst. Unless you have no luck on other apps and need to scrape the bottom of the barrel, avoid OKC.

Paid for a month it immediately logged me out and won’t log back in !!!!!

Will not let me save my profile. It stuck in some form of data loop. All fields complete including preferences that I can view …BUT it say they are not. Stating I have only completed 80% - which is WRONG 🙃🙁

I find myself swiping left on almost 90% of women because the app feels like it’s full of fake profiles. Single pictures, vague generic quotes on profiles or none. And if that’s no bad enough the app it 100% pay to play and everything is heavily locked behind A paywall won’t even let you filter or won’t even let you see who likes you unless you pay. Which I won’t and these are basics. All this app does is out a middle man in the way and prevent dates from happening

Full of scammers who want your money want you to “invest” or honeypot you etc or e girls wanting you to subscribe to their OF. Then the matches… Why tf would I want to match with an African? I’m in the uk. Can’t turn the passport ones off though of course and anyone close to you gets hidden. What a waste of time. Make it paid only for serious people and make everyone verify or just close the app it’s pointless how it is now.

Such a dreadful piece of software . Constantly crashes and almost impossible to sign back in. Other date site do a much better job . Don’t waste your money on this one

Ok Cupid is by far the best dating site I have used.

Can’t access the app since it updated vid my Apple App Store. Even tried deleting and reinstalling with no success.
