Roadtrippers - Trip Planner

Started to use it 2 years and recommended it to many of the friends. It was the fantastic app, the best. Recently they limited amount of waypoints in a free version to only 7 (!). Basically pushing you to buy unfairly expensive annual license. Bye-bye Roadtrippers, you were good, but now you’re dead. Will miss you.

I don’t recommend it at all . While just make anyone nervous .

I've used roadtrippers for planning my US trip. While it does a good job at putting together multiple points of interest, it is a complete nightmare managing. 1. You can add participants to the trip, but they won't be able to amend it. It's a huge disadvantage for group trips. 2. Finding points of interest seems straightforward, but in fact gives you wrong selection, and found points constantly blink which makes the whole feature complete rubbish. 3. Instead of background saving, every single action renders app inoperable for good 5-10 seconds. In fact, the app does not save a single thing and just fetches data back and forth with the server. Way to go when you are traveling!

Installed to navigate the 5 hour trip to Yorkshire with added stops for the dog. Can’t find any UK locations and if I want to navigate to a pin on the map I have to sign up to my free trial. By the time I need it the trial will have ended. Uninstalling

I hadn’t really spotted that Europe isn’t covered so pretty irritated that I paid premium for the sake of one trip to the US when I would use it for UK/Europe much more frequently. Great for my US road trip, just wish I had realised before paying out. Also… watch out. I upgraded to the premium having already paid for pro and have been stung for the full annual amount, not just the additional amount for the upgrade. Hoping Apple will sort it, but a very costly mistake…

I be nice to have a demo of premium service or standard version with apple car play as to use apple car play it has to be paid version. This seem a bit outdated when they simply could put a 7 day activation. When apps do this I stay well clear of them.

I have this on auto renew. They have just taken £25 off me for basic cover but I cannot open my saved itinerary now. I cannot even read it without paying £49.99

Doesn’t find places in the UK

Annoyingly this does not cover Europe. Whilst you can search away on the map and add destinations manually it simply doesn’t recognise smaller destinations in the search option.

Planning a European road trip starting in Rotterdam, the search can’t find the city. Even when I use the address of the port, still can’t be found. Many attractions within Europe just don’t show up in the search.
