Route: Package Tracker

I simply can't receive a verification code to proceed to a claim. My package is lost somewhere. More than a month it's «returned to sender». No one replies either from route or the merchant. Don't use Route. It doesn't help you receive anything.

I can only log in with google, and can not choose a different way. However, if I log in through google I have to give them access to my emails. That is extremely invasive, so I had no choice but to uninstall.

The app allows you to connect your iCloud email but for me it just gives an error

Maybe this app works better in other regions, but for me it was useless. In some tracks it shows that the order is created, but in reality the order was already delivered( not the only one order, actually a few). Sometimes it shows that the order is in transit, but the truth is not even sent yet.

Goede service, respectvolle mensen die je helpen en de tijd voor je nemen. Pakket was kwijt en kwamen met een snelle nette oplossing Top!!

Why do you want permission to read my emails when I want to use google as my identity provider?? I can’t allow this.

It says I live in Salt Lake City or somewhere nearby.. while I live in the Netherlands - really shady app tbh

Despite me setting the app to receive only notifications about my orders and deliveries, it kept bugging me with iOS notifications about how easy it was to use and what I could buy and order. According to the app’s suggestions I should order from Amazon and other companies I’d never do business with. In the end I deleted the app. Also, the app didn’t provide any useful service: it didn’t give me an ETA on the delivery of my parcel. And after receiving my order I manually updated the status of my parcel as ‘delivered’ in the app. Much to my surprise the next day (!!) the app cheerfully notified me that my order was delivered…

Why do you need to read all my private emails just for tracking a package? I know you can manually add track and trace codes, but the “reconnect your email” message stays passive aggressive at the top of the app all the time. Besides that, after all the hustle, it can’t even give me the ETA of my DHL parcel. This app is absolutely pointless, fixing a problem that doesn’t exist.

Asking to browse through my email to get shipment information is next level shady. Maybe it is the company that uses this service, using it wrong. But i am def not that desperate to track my shipment.
