StoryGraph: Reading Tracker

Absolutely wonderful!

Unlike the web version, which opens just fine every time, the app won't work 4 times out of 5, it just gets stuck on a loading screen.

The app constantly crashes, I have to reload it multiple times for it to work, just to track down a few pages read. I was not able to access the application since the second of January, nor am I able to download my StoryGraph library from it’s site

Love the idea! Love the fact that the app is completely free and does not try to sell you some random premium options, unlimited notes or something of that sort. A completely free functionality was my only reason to choose that app over GoodReads. However, there’s definitely a lot of room to improve! For example, I can’t see who follows me. I can’t see who I follow and can’t see their activity unless I manually search for them again. Followers/followings should be more intuitive. If we step up the game, maybe in the future there can be a functionality to create chats/groupchats between friends - sort of like a bookclub thing. In addition to that, mobile UX is quite interesting & not very intuitive. I was trying to add more notes to the book I was reading, and for that you have to mark how many pages you’ve read and only then you can add a note. Also, you can’t intuitively access all of your notes for this specific book. You sort of have to go and click random buttons to see the option for journal entries for that book. A lot of unnecessary clicking unfortunately :( Also, it would be cool if we could scan the book barcode and it would automatically bring it up. Just something I saw in other apps while doing my research! Hope this feedback helps :) keep it up!

I downloaded this app almost a year ago and I’m extremely satisfied! I was looking for an app to keep tracks of all my readings, I tried a few and this one was the best. It’s really easy to use and very accurate and it’s perfect for those readers who likes to have statistics over what they read in a specific period of time. It gives you the possibility to keep track of the pages you read daily (both in pages or in percentage if you’re reading it in their digital equivalent) and it gives you the possibility to give “half votes” to the books you read. Most apps, when they give you the opportunity to add a review, allow you to put just a whole star (1 star, 2… or 5) StoryGraph allows you to give half votes (2.75⭐️, 4.25 ⭐️, 3.50 ⭐️…). The only downside is that it does not give you the possibility to take note of books you read more then once. So if you want to reread a book the app will not keep track of it. Please, add this option, amazing books deserve to be read more than once!

Let me preface this by saying that I love all the features the app has, and will continue to use the app in the future because of them. But… The app itself is bad, it seems just a webview pointing to they website, and you can tell. What I find even worse is that an app redesign or rewrite doesn’t even appear in the roadmap (unless it’s the offline mode, in which case you need to work on you marketing :) )

L’ho installata solo per avere una alternativa alla più nota app, in quanto pur essendo sul mercato da ANNI ha sempre la stessa grafica degli anni 2000, pochissime feature e semplicemente non è per nulla entusiasmante usarla… StoryGraph ha una grafica molto moderna, minimal ma carina! Ma soprattutto è ricca di sorprese; l’ho installata da poco ma soprattutto l’opzione buddy read l’ho trovata molto intelligente (condividere commenti su libri che si sta leggendo insieme ad altre persone senza rischi di fare spoiler) e le challenge sono impostate in modo davvero brillante! Per ora sto usando la versione gratuita ed è già eccellente, magari in futuro farò anche in plus :) hanno fatto (e stanno facendo) un ottimo lavoro
